Honest question. Could he ever be a pocket passer given his height? I saw him rolling out a lot in college. I honestly don't think he'd be able to see over some of the taller lineman.

If he’s a legit 5’10 then absolutely. Brees does an amazing job of charging up through the pocket for better visualization downfield. I don’t think KM could ask for someone better to learn behind. We are absolutely the best case scenario for him.

I’d love to have him but I don’t think we have the ammo to get him. His arm talent is legit though.

No it wouldn’t. We’d have to give up more or he’d have to drop to second.

You're dealing with a bird box board of punter humping imbeciles. I wouldn't waste any further breath on the discussion with them. Our inability to position ourselves to draft Murray is the smartest thing any imbecile could say in regards to this topic.

There is a 0.0000000% chance the cardinals draft murray. He will be a mid to late first round pick.

They already made statement saying Rosen is their guy.

Oh yeah because NFL teams haven't lied before
Statements like that don't mean jackshit

So this was downvoted into oblivion suggesting most don’t agree. I would assume when this was suggested about mahomes a few years ago most felt the same way. Now I would assume most of us would have given those picks up for mahomes. The guy has an incredible arm talent. He could be groomed for a year behind brees. The saints would have little drop off when brees retires. I would love for the saints to get Lawrence but at the end of the day it’s going to be ten times harder to get Lawrence than it would be Murray.

Machines will be three years into his rookie deal if Drew Brees retired next year.

Teams drafting their superstar’s successor while he’s on the roster are rare.

Most people aren’t Green Bay getting Aaron Rodger at 22

I think Mahomes' success is not reason enough to justify taking such a risk. It can go into the thought process, but should not be a straight push to do it.

Mahomes had a great year, but people need to hold off on anointing him as an all-timer. He's in a great situation and with talent around him to cover his flaws right now. He may turn into a GOAT candidate or could go the way of many others that put up great stats for a year or two only to fade away into oblivion or seen as an average QB.

RGIII and Andy Dalton had amazing first years as starting QBs at the time. They they turned to crap. Kapaernik looked amazing in his first season getting the majority of starts and then fell off a cliff when the talent around him wasn't top tier.

The fact remains that until he does it consistently, he's not an example of hitting it big.

I would be highly pissed since we do not need a QB.

Watch his recent interview on the Dan Patrick Show and tell me if you'd still want to draft him. Wouldn't answer questions and Patrick had to ask his DAD if he was going to the Combine or have a Pro Day.

Can we PLEASE stop trading up and giving away all of our draft picks? We are screwed this year in the draft because of this.
