As much as I hate Alabama football, I’ve met hundreds of very cool Bama fans who are HUGE Saints fans, and I’m okay with it.

We will disagree on Saturdays, and team up on Sundays.

I'm a fan of both, but separate them from each other.

I give 0 fricks if we draft LSU as long as we're getting the best productive player. If they're all Bama and Ohio state players so be it.

Yep. I go to LSU. Love the Tigers.

But Sunday is Saints day. I hope the LSU players do well in the NFL, & most do. But if they're playing the Saints, I don't care as long as we win. And the "Saints hate LSU" crowd is terrible. They can kindly GTFO.

Brett Favre and Peyton Manning grew up as Saints fans but not LSU (although can't recall what college team Favre rooted for). That was one of those weird coincidences from the SB season, that the two biggest wins in franchise history were over Hall of Fame QBs that grew up rooting for the Saints.

As for me, I'm a fan of both. Fanatic.

I love my WhoDatNation brothers from Mississippi, West Alabama, South Arkansas, Florida Panhandle and East Texas.

In four states, the Saints are the closest NFL team to those residents. I hold nothing against them for cheering on the University that is closest to them or the one they attended. Auburn Saints are my fave.

To answer the OP's question, I am both an LSU Tiger and Saints fan.

I'm a casual fan of the tigers.
I always pull for home team.

But the saints are my labor of love.

I don't live far from New Orleans. It can take a little less than 2 hours to get there from where I live depending on how you drive.

I grew up watching the Saints and actually followed the NFL more growing up than I did with CfB. Each Saturday I stayed at the ball park all day playing in or watching other games as a youth so I never really got into the Alabama-Auburn thing like everyone else did I guess. Another thing that cheapens the college fandom experience for me is the lack of support South Alabama gets. I know a bunch of people who graduated from South like me and they don't care about any of South's athletic teams for the most part. They mostly root for Alabama as you might imagine.

There are a lot of non-LSU fans on this board. More than you would think.

I don't know but it is an interesting question.

But I know many Tiger/Saints fans who pull more for LSU than they do the Saints. I'm the opposite. I'm much more of a Saints fan, probably because I grew up in New Orleans East and went to public schools there.
