re: How many of these WRs is Chris Olave better than?

Yes, but he came into the league with a torn ACL and had the gambling suspension frick up his next season. He played well in the playoffs last year so I think he has a lot of upward momentum. But you are right, it’s mostly potential thus far.
I think Jameson and Olave are both really elite WR2s and Jameson is more versatile with his top end speed imo

It’s 10x worse on saints twitter. People get feral mad if you suggest he’s anything less than an elite number 1 (hes a solid 2 and thats fine) diabolical.
That’s fine, their judgment is clouded in their desire to show the Saints front office can hit on a #1 pick given the obvious recent list of busts.
As another poster indicated, the same crowd should have no problem extending Olave for 5 years $150M with $120M guaranteed if he is really that elite.

He has no yak. He falls to the ground. He drops more passes than he should

These threads are stupid. The only way to know who’s better purely as a WR is to work out and run drills with these guys. Every guy has a different situation and a different qb. If WR(a) is better than WR(b) right now, what would happen if they switched teams, schemes, and QBs?? Nobody knows. Therefore, these types of threads are pointless and just a bunch of nobodies throwing around some stupid cliches they’ve heard on espn and nfl network

He's a really good wr. Why do you guys feel the need to run him down?
It’s not his fault the Saints gave up a huge bounty to draft him that has contributed to setting the franchise back. But he hasn’t exactly came close to justifying it either

Then stick to the usual - running down the FO/allen. Olave has been a good pick.

He wasn’t a good pick

We'll just disagree. Sure the saints overpaid for the 11th pick, but olave has been a good player for that position.

He went for 100 and nearly 1500 yards. Olave hasn’t cleared 90 catches or even 1200 yards yet. I reckon the onus is on Olave to prove he’s better

That's so many damn players man.
I'm not going to speculate on the rookies. I'd rather have him than some of the vets in their 30s as we aren't winning anything of note anytime soon. As far as actually being "better" in a handful of games to start the year I'd say zay flowers, collins, maybe Higgins in the younger group of established NFL players. I'd take Nacua over him 10/10x. That guy is a gamer and an absolute animal.

what an oxymoron.

I really don’t get the hate spewed on this dude. He makes plays. Has he made some errors, sure. For the most part he is a really good NFL receiver.

Glad to see people finally catching on to Olave.
We need him to be a top 5 WR to justify his acquisition cost.
At the very least it would be great if he finished routes or occasionally got some yards after catch.

I'd like to see Rashid thrown to a lot more this season. I think this kid could be another Tyreek Hill because of his potential to make plays. He has explosive ability in him just like a Tyreek Hill. Carr only connected with him on some deep throws last season, but you can use him in the slot to hit on a quick slant pass and he could take it home because of his elusiveness. Right now he's being underused imo.

Isn’t the guys effort pretty shite?
