Peat and Hurst are likely gone
Penning is a bust

Tackles don't usually hit free agency and Saints don't have cap room to afford one anyway

I do think a healthy Carr is at least serviceable

I think we can almost guarantee a tackle will be our first pick in the draft

I’m not so sure Peat is gone. Dare I say it, he finally looked pretty good at LT.

Unfortunately we still probably have to use another early round draft pick on OLine.

IMO, you start w Maronne. He has a great reputation, but the oline has regressed big time the past 2 years.

You also need to look at your oline scouts, for college & pros, and consider making changes there.

As far as bodies go, as much as it pisses off most of this board, Loomis can always find room. Neither Hurt or Peat will command top dollar on the open market; so them returning it not out of the question. Plus if you can get a deal done w Peat before the new year, you can spread his dead money about to hit the books (between $13-16M)

We start more threads blaming Gayle and Mickey for Ramczyk's knee exploding and Penning's injuries the first year of his career.

Why is Peat gone? He was good at LT down the stretch

He's not under contract. 2024 is a void year.

As stated earlier, we can re-sign him and try to spread out all of the dead money. I imagine we will do this b/c 2025 is looking to be a cap disaster.

If we can use Peat at LT for a couple years that helps us. Penning can try G or maybe RT if Ram is done. I think they tear Penning down to the studs this offseason, which projects his likely T startability as 2025.

Chad, you’re going to have to get off of “Mickey’s” cock long enough to regain some kind of objectivity.

Hurst said he wants to come back.

You can’t count on Peat to be healthy all year. This was a contract year and is as good as you can expect from him.

We need a better OL coach.

Dane Brugler has 10-12 OTs going in the Top 50 of his mock draft.

very objective. mickey may have some faults and may not bat 100%. is this news breaking compared to every other GM out there. The reactions are emotional and petulant.

With the apparent OL regression, you would think a change in OL coaching is warranted before targeting any offensive lineman in the draft.

Neither will be gone. Peat will get an extension and play LT. Hurst will get an extension and play LG.

The real question is what’s our plan for Ramcyzk? Can Penning develop into a long term RT instead of LT? Mickey hinted that Penning was hurt again this season yesterday.

Would it be harder/easier/no change in ram's knee at guard?
