I was impressed watching it play out after our pick.

Absolutely clutch move imho. They played it perfectly. Sacrifice your comp 3rd and 4th pick for a guy you want. No brainer

I breathed a sigh of relief as a knee jerk reaction when I finally saw the trade details

GMs & HCs obviously hear a lot more chatter about who wants who & when. They likely share certain info between piers that others aren’t privy too.

It’s like as soon as they saw the first WR come off the board they executed Order 98/120.

so we traded a first, second, third, fourth and 7th for the 11th and a 6th right?

happy with the outcome, but a lot of cheese.

No, I don’t think that is right.

I think it was swap 1st’s, and then a 3rd (98) & 4th (120).

I could be uninformed though.

I do not know from where you got that information.

We traded a 1st, 2nd, and 7th to get the 16th pick and a 6th rd

Then traded the 16th, 3rd and 4th rd for 11th

So what he is saying is altogether we traded a first, 2nd next year, 3rd, 4th, 7th rds between two teams for 11th and 6 rd

It is their job to know that. Besides, it started with 2 out of the 3 picks before we picked.

Peers*. Highly doubt coaches and GMs are talking in between docks

Why did Jameson transfer out of Ohio St then? Bc Olave beat him out 3 years in a row.

Someone beat out Joe Burrow 3 years in a row too. Not sure I would fully trust OSU’s long term talent evaluations.

Knowing how they operate, they probably had a group of WRs they really liked and saw them as comparable. When there was 1 or 2 left, they started working their phones based to make the move. And since they discuss trades before the draft w teams, they knew what it would take

Another reminder that OSU should be dominating college football, but they kinda aren’t

Then he could have beat out multiple others for a spot… Just don’t see why he didn’t sniff the field at OSU.
