I didn't realize how reviled this guy was by opposing fans. Lots of tweets and posts on other forums loving that he was non existent yesterday.

He was phenomenal last year. This year he was injured for most of the year, but when he did play, and was supposedly healthy, he didn't do much.

And yesterday he couldn't separate from the defense and just seemed to not have his heart in the game.

Still hampered by the injury? Something going on below the surface?

SAWFT.

TBH who knows. Maybe he doesn't want to be in NOLA. Maybe he's still injured. Or maybe he suffers from diva WR syndrome. Or all of the above. Either way, the result was what we saw on the field yesterday.

Seriously? I’m not on social media to have confirmed this, but he’s the epitome of a “love him if he’s on your team, but hate him if he’s on another” guy.

I don’t know about his heart, but he’s clearly still hurt. There’s no other reason to explain his lack of separation. Dude’s way too big a competitor to just phone it in on his biggest stage of the season.

Here we go again...

The same questions were asked about Kamara last year when he was injured. Now we are here with the same shite about Michael Thomas. Sometimes players have a bad string of nagging injuries, and yes, if it goes on too long it is a valid reason to trade/cut a player. He's a phenomenal player, I'd say give him this offseason to get healthy. If we are in full rebuild then he'd be a good candidate to trade either this year or next.

Who's going to want to trade for him? Not trying to be a smartass, just genuinely curious.

People who think he is a locker room issue or leaving are crazy IMO. Same stuff with Kamara last year. He had a very bad game last night and has been dealing with injuries all year. He was about 2 inches away from a beautiful td catch last night too

Tells me how important a healthy receiver is, but how more important a group of weapons is.

If you can package him and picks for Watson, you so it. Spend the next few years drafting receivers

Why would Houston trade a malcontent QB for a much, much louder malcontent WR? Still love MT13, but let’s be honest—if he’s got a rookie coach calling plays for him instead of Sean Payton, a (likely) much less accurate QB throwing him passes instead of Drew Brees, while losing instead of going 12-4/13-3 every year, his inner diva isn’t gonna take long to surface and cause way more problems for them than Watson ever has and a much less valuable position. He makes zero sense for a team in a rebuild.

That said, even coming off an injury-plagued season, I think his value may be higher now than it ever will be, so I’d definitely be open to moving him. But I think it has to be (officially) done after June 1st to make cap sense for us. And the number of potential partners that it may make sense for is not very big.

Going to chalk it up to a wasted year with the injury and in an offense that struggled to get him the ball because QB play was spotty.

Going to choose to believe he didn’t suddenly start sucking at playing football.

When you spend your free time trolling others on twatterverse about how great you are and everyone else should bow to you, this is usually the end result.

The guy obviously isn’t healthy, and Tampa was incredibly handsy with him yesterday. The 4 game stretch when he came back and then went back out he was averaging 86 yards a game with Taysom at QB.

Don’t make it more than it is.

Injured. People said the same poo about Kamara last offseason...his heart isn't in it, he got paid and fell off, wants off the team because Ingram is gone etc. Look how that panned out.

He hasn't had his heart in this season.
