Jabari Greer probably qualified for a year or two. He was really good.

Yeah! He was really good, but I think Lattimore can take away their wr1 every week.

True all out lockdown, no. Someone that could hold up well against good WRs and lockdown 75% of the other WRs, I’d say McKenzie and Greer. Keenan Lewis did for a couple years. But all 3 were players that tended to have a bad game every 5-6 games. Which is still pretty good if you ask me

Jabari is one of the more underrated players that we've had in last decade or so. Dude's name wasn't called a lot because of his shutdown ability. Lattimore is on a whole other level.

Fred Weary would like down all the white girls at TJs back in the day.

Jason David could lock down an opposing TD.

After watching almost every one of the 51 seasons of Saints football*, Lattimore has had the best year at CB in Saints history.

*Some of those years should have been rated NC-17.

Eric Allen. A better zone guy than man. Pro bowl though.

Brandon Browner could literally (with both his arms holding on) lock down a receiver.

IIRC, Greer and Porter only allowed 1 passing TD all of 2009.

Eric Allen was great, with Philly. He was just okay for us.

Mike McKenzie and Greer were probably our best CBs over the last 20-40 years. Cook had one really good year for us IIRC. I agree that Lattimore has potential to be special though. And we drafted him unlike the McKenzie and Greer who we got on the back end of their careers.

Definitely the best tandem I can remember in recent years. As others have noted, Greer was incredibly underrated. Guy could cover.

I’d pump the brakes a lil bit. 3 quarters of a year does not equal shut down. He had a solid first year when healthy. He is still an injury concern

I'm talking about Greer & Porter as a combo, and how Greer was underrated. Who are you referring to?
