Reggie Sutton was the only Saints DB close to Lattimore's level ...but cocaine.

8 picks, had only 10 starts in the Mora era.

Lattimore has potential to be the best corner to ever wear the black and gold.

I took down an ugly response about Dave Waymer.
I forgot that he passed away at an early age.

IIRC, Greer and Porter only allowed 1 passing TD all of 2009.

They were such a good duo.

I knew he passed, didn't realize it was cocaine overdose.
I thought he was a Safety and just read how he died.

He was a corner for the Saints. Pretty good but not a shut down. Intercepted a pass in the end zone against the Steelers I think, to guarantee us our first winning season

Was Fred Thomas a corner?

He was the same guy that when we were surely going to the playoffs they brought him off of D, and put him as WR.

Jason David could lock down an opposing TD.

Hahahaha. The only saints player i ever truly hated and i sat through plenty of Aaron Brooks fumbling away game after game and smiling while pointing at himself. Possibly more than any other NFL player.

I don't think so, no but Lattimore IMO has already become the first to attain that distinction hell probably should've been 1st Team All-Pro dude made a huge difference along with Cam to improve things and elevate the Saints

Jabari Greer probably qualified for a year or two. He was really good.

I'm glad this was a quick response. I feel like he wasnt appreciated enough. Probably the most underrated Saint under Sean Payton. Him and Keenan Lewis in 2013 were both incredible. It was never the same once Greer went down in that SF game. How the hell we won a playoff game with Corey White in there I'll never know

I think it was Greer's only one in like 2 seasons. If I remember, it was against Atlanta and I think it was a pushoff from that fricker Roddy White.

We've never had anyone who logged more than 1 or 2 true lockdown seasons. Lattimore will be the guy to do it. We have had:

1995 Eric Allen
2006 Mike McKenzie
2009 Jabari Greer (only played 9 games)
2009 Tracy Porter (only played 12 games)
2013 Keenan Lewis (arguably the best season a Saints CB ever had)
2017-202? Marshon Lattimore

also don't sleep on Crawley if he continues to improve, he can absolutely take a #2 away.

Don't forget Lewis went down and for much of the 2nd half, our secondary consisted of Trevin Wade, Corey White, Rod Sweeting, and Roman Harper. Total disaster and Foles started lighting us up. DeSean started smoking White, and then Roman Harper fell down in the endzone leaving Riley Coopracist wide open for a TD. But that was one of the most fun games i've ever watched, so its all good.
