on the flip side, the quietest i've ever heard that place is when reggie got lit the frick up in the playoff game early against the eagles.

was fortunate enough to be in the dome for both. both games were unruly loud. I still cant fathom how even a waterboy for any team hears a request.

But I will say that for the atl game no one sat. from nose bleed to honorary cancer patient on the turf. Not a single person sat, moved down for seats, hell, I dont ever remember people leaving to pee. You stood. You cheered. And you saw a community come together.

In my mind, the Gleason block will always be louder than any moment in saints history.

But I am a shell of my former self

I wasn't at the NFC Championship Game vs. the Vikings. But I have to say, the Gleason block is the loudest I've ever heard a crowd at a football game.

I've been to some bigger venues before that are capable of being louder. I've also sat through some intense rivalry games on the college level. And nothing comes close to that few mintues after the block

I'm of the belief that the Hartley kick wasn't the loudest moment of that NFCCG. I think most people were relieved and overjoyed instead of super loud and hyped up. (Hell, I cried like a baby.)

i agree, i dont even remember how loud it was for that. Or what i did.

I know they had some loud moments in the AZ game, as well as the NE game that year in the regular season.

As someone mentioned, the Deuce run vs PHIL in 06' was very loud & emotional

Both were the greatest moments I've ever experienced in the dome. However, after the Gleason punt block the dome was as loud as I have ever heard in any stadium. The raw emotion from everything that happened with Katrina was just let out and it's something I'll never forget.

Honestly I remember how dead quiet is was before and during the kick than i do the noise afterwards. I was amazed that that many people could completely be entranced for the 40 seconds it took to line up, kick and watch it sail through the uprights.

Same seats for both and the initial pop from the crowd for the Gleason block was louder. The Hartley kick was louder for a much longer period, but honestly all I really remember after the kick is celebrating with the people we sit with.

I was in the same for both and I believe the gleason block was louder. It was the loudest I've ever heard a stadium.

I've been in the same seat since 2000. Top 5 loudest moments I've experienced:
1. Gleason block
2. Hartley kick
3. Porter INT
4. Deuce first down against Eagles
5. Vikings game, during Reggie's 2nd kick return for a TD

I was at the Dome for all of those games. Hakim dropping the ball was louder than them all.

Plaza level sec 129 row 37 seat 10 for both and the 2 happened in that end zone. I would say the blocked punt. Never seen so much spilt beer.

Blocked punt was louder than the FG. I remember my ears pulsating after the blocked FG, which has happened multiple times, but never like that. It was surreal. I have a pretty good vantage point for crowd noise.

It's close, but I give a slight edge to Hartley. I also remember seeing somewhere that the decibel reader had Hartley's kick at 126 and Gleason at 125.

Definitely a bigger moment. i hope the crowd noise reflected that. Just saying it felt weird but hearing "and the saints are on their way to the Super Bowl" gave me chills. The most tense game ever

I will never forget hearing Jerry Romig say that. Never ever did I think those words would be said.

I also think the Eagles 4th down in the '06 playoff game was about as loud as I've ever heard the Dome.

I sat on the Saints side right at the goal line where both events happened. In my memory, the blocked punt was the single loudest moment I remember in the Dome. I have been going since the 80s. My favorite memory was Hartley's kick, but that was more about the entire experience and just pure disbelief that it had actually happened. The noise was not as loud as when the punt was blocked.

My dad was there to see Gleason's blocked punt, I was at the NFC Championship game to witness our game winning kick

Both were ear-ringing loud

I would also add the MNF game against the Patriots in 09. That game got pretty loud at times.

This was louder for me. After the FG in the NFCCG I felt like I was on XTC and got in my own little zone of crying on my knees. Leaving the Dome that night was one of the greatest nights in my life. 2nd lined all the way to Lucy's.
