I loved Payton as our coach. Haven’t been able to get myself to pull for him as Broncos coach though

I do not want him to win. I have met him personally before and he is a nice enough guy but I did not appreciate the way he handled his departure here. I would have no ill-will towards him if he was man enough to just say "You know what, I'm ready for a change of scenery" but that's not what he did.

Also his terrible drafting here really hurt the franchise and it pisses me off that he has not drafted that way in Denver (which I have pointed out many times on this board). Picks like Davenport, Payton Turner, Ruiz, and pretty much the entire drafts from 2014-2016 cost us a lot.

I think part of the reason he left, he couldnt get Brady, He wanted Brady and brees had to mosey back on in here like he owned the building.

Brady would have won us the Bowl, Breesus didnt have the arm anymore.

This is it for me, too. This franchise defended him when the entire NFL was at his throat. They could have fired him for cause when he was suspended for an entire season.

His gift back was to dig an enormous hole for the franchise, realize he couldn't easily get out of it, celebrate a retirement from the Saints, and leave the problems he created for others to clean up, so he could find another team in better shape to "start over" with.

Were you one of the "Saints fans" that showed up to the Dome in a Joe Burrow Bengals jersey?

Under Payton?

I kind of want Bronco fans to go thru their playoffs version of

No Call, Minneapolis Miracle, Beastmode, Vernon Davis TD , Eric Rudolph pushoff, and Jarad Cook fumble.

Current CSP is to CKM in the same way Bill Parcels was to rookie CSP when they met in 2006. One will be ascending while the other is on the tail end of their career

Stop it. We owned Brady other than the playoff matchup where Cooks fumbled

Anyone who paid attention knew Payton was fantastic at tailoring game plans and schemes to his talent at-hand.

From 2019-2021, the Saints played 16 games being quarterbacked by Jameis, Taysom and Teddy. Their record in those games? A #1 seed-worthy record of 13-3.

I’d argue he finally did get Drew a great defense from 2018-2020. Problem is that defense finally came along at the same time Drew’s arm was falling off the cliff.

It’s been 3 yrs. Don’t care anymore. Love those memories though.

Really excited about our next 2-3 yrs, though.

Not happy at all but he wisely quit on the Saints. Hope he does well but never gets to the Super bowl.

I was wishing that he was washed but I didn't get my wish. I did wish for ice cream and I got that, so, I can't be too mad.
