So we're drafting a DE because one player is suspended for 4 games? How about we just draft one because thats what we already need.

if anything it may make them more inclined to draft a DE. The suspension isn't dispositive

It says guaranteed first pick will be a defensive end. It goes out to all the goobers who were thinking Mark Ingram was going to be in black and gold when we already have a stacked backfield when healthy.

Yeah you right Lynell might be gone but we still have two 3 round picks to snag a rb. (Demarco Murray)

Reggie Bush may be gone and hasn't had a healthy season yet, Ivory hasn't been healthy since sophomore year in high school and had major surgery, PT is injury prone as well.

Hamilton isn't a good RB

Yeah, let's get a 4th RB and go out there with Charleston and Brown as our DEs for the first 4 weeks.

Looks as though the top tier DEs will be gone by the time the Saints choose (if that is what they want).

If they're going to draft a DE, it's going to be because they need one, not as a knee-jerk reaction to a suspension they've probably known was coming for awhile now.

the Saints should be addressing the front 7 no matter what, they need quality young players here badly

hopefully we won't swing and miss here as we have so many other times

Not sure this guarantees a DE with our first pick... but it does give us more incentive to take one early.
