re: Glazer: Sean Payton is not interested in the Carolina Panthers at all

I can’t see him in Cincy and I don’t think Carr is attractive enough for him to test Vegas.
He won't want Cincy because of ownership. The cheapest, possibly worst owners in the NFL.
I could see him wanting Vegas though. He will get a huge long term deal from them, desirable market, dome stadium with all the bells and whistles. Carr is good enough to get him through 1-2 years and if its not working whatever draft they gave up will be done and they can get a QB for him to develop.
I don't see the Jets doing anything. They are finally doing well.

If the jets end up close to .500, they won't be looking for a HC

I just hope we can get a 10-20ish first, and then I hope Sean falls flat on him face where ever he ends up

Other higher tier likelihood teams IMO: Raiders, Broncos Lower likelihood but possible: Cardinals, Cowboys, Colts
Raiders? They JUST hired Mcdaniels and Derek Carr is a middling QB getting paid like Brees.
Broncos are a shite show right now without a QB or draft capital.
Colts are worse than the Saints. No Oline, No Qb, a stud RB that may be good for another 2 years and nothing to speak of on D.
Cards and Cowboys have young QBs, decent talent and draft capital, so maybe.
If the Chargers really are sold on getting rid of Staley, Payton would be foaming at the mouth to move to LA.

This will not even be possible. He will never come anywhere close to FA.
That and all HC positions would be filed before Jackson's contract expires

Do you get the feeling that wherever Sean Payton goes, he will hire Jeff Ireland to be the GM?
Or bring him in some capacity I realize he can't hire the GM but I just wouldn't be surprised if he lured him away from us

he's good with a good qb, but he couldn't draft one to save his life
he never used a top 10 pick on a QB. it was always 3rd-7th round flyers. what do you expect?
Chase Daniel turned out decent though.
Let him pick any QB he wants in a good QB draft class and I bet he would make the right choice.

Carolina is well on their way to pick of the litter, and yet Sean not interested.

If the Titans don't win at least 1 playoff game I could see them tossing Vrabel for a chance at Payton

SP wants the Chargers so Herbert can make him look good.
This is a very great "take". Herbert would indeed make SP look good.
ALSO don't forget about the new Mrs. Sean Payton. Wouldn't she love to have a chance for some kind of career in Hollywood or Burbank? When you live in Los Angeles, it's easier to break into that industry.
Skylene wants a career on TV and/or Film. She wants to live in Los Angeles in furtherance of that end.
Picture this: a new reality TV show on the home lives of an NFL head coach and his beautiful house wife.
THE PAYTONS
That's my theory.

Anything Jay Glazer writes about Sean Payton comes right from the mouth of Sean. He & Glazer are tight.
I mean, the article literally says the Panthers people asked Glazer to ask Sean if he was interested, and Glazer responded basically not a chance in hell.

Until the Saints Organization decides to promote one individual to be a TRUE General Manager for the Franchise, your legitimate fear will be a probable eventuality.

Yes, I agree with your opinion.
His wife wants a career in film or TV. LA is the place to be for those in that industry.

No way. Vrabel is a well respected head coach and overachieves with that team.
Also, what the frick does Tennessee have to make Payton say that’s where he wants to be the rest of his career?

Payton is currently in a box in LA watching Chargers down 10 to the Seahawks. At least one thing is going as planned.
Posted on 10/23/22 at 5:56 pm to saintsfan22
Yes it is. The chargers will be desperate to not completely frick away Herbert on his rookie deal and Payton will absolutely want that job.
We should get a fortune. 1st, 2 seconds, and Derwin James. Lock it up.

Wellllll duhhhhhhhh!!! I’m sure he’s not interested in what will be a re-build. CSP thinks he is a premier HC so he can walk right in to a Super Bowl contender.
