I’m saying that for a relatively modest number it was the giants who got him.
The 14th highest contract for a corner in the NFL is modest?

Not a wild card berth!

Both franchises have the same amount of wins over the last three years, but only one team has the worst contract in the league for a qb.

And it ain't the saints.

Try again. Go back 4 years. Saints have a better record. 5 years? Saints have a better record.

Truth

For some reason a lot of people didn't recognize it, but before the injury he was an ascending player that looked like a lock to be a legit #1 CB.

It's impossible to know how the injury will impact him moving forward. The Saints didn't have the money to sign him. The injury kind of let the team off the hook in a way. Olave's head injury history will do the same.

I agree 18 mil is a great number for adebo.

He was really coming on. His only downside is getting beat deep and grabbing.

20 mil is going to be the new normal for good starting corners

Even shitty wrs are getting 10 mil a yr guaranteed.

Damn the one franchise worse than the Saints.

Embarrassing.

Compare SuperBowls

Giants are a Storied franchise that has ups and downs

One of the most respected in the league.

They have standards that they live by.

Would have never hired Payton when Loomis was fricking U.S. to make Payton the highest paid HC in the league.

The Giants would have nothing to do with a married pussy chasing drugy, that cheated and was suspended for an entire season

Pretty huge downside (remind anyone of another former good db but couldn't stop grabbing?), although he was way more solid than not. those plays can cost you games though.

Stupid question but would that be for this year or next year?

You’re picking a strange hill to die on. The Saints have gone from mediocre to BAD. The Browns are, once again, a year removed from the playoffs. I’m glad Carr’s contract isn’t quite as bad as Watson’s I guess?

What does that matter in the grand scheme of how an organization is doing? They played one more game than the saints over the past 4 years, and the saints have more recently won in the playoffs than them.

The saints are a shite show rn but to act like they're 2nd worst in the league is wild.

Jets
Browns
Giants
Titans
Bears
Raiders

All can be considered worse than the saints.

Wouldn’t say that at all. We are in some lean years but we still moving forward in a new direction.

It ain’t like the Saints weren’t trying to give Watson a break the bank deal as well. Watson, like most NFL players and coveted free agents tend to choose other franchises.

Lol what are you smoking bro. He chose the Browns because they gave a contract out with the most guaranteed money of all time at the time.

It was so bad gms leaked that they were pissed with how the Browns negotiated.

Idk man. Until you move on from Derek it's gonna feel stagnant. I'm hoping last year was more due to injury and bad leadership more than anything, but we lack talent in a lot of key spots

Yes, and Brees was still playing. Since then, the Saints have gone from mediocre to BAD.

And the Saints are in the conversation with all of those organizations. All bottom of the barrel. Pick a card.

I guess according to you we’re lucky to have such a productive QB on such a team-friendly deal like Carr.

You said we're the 2nd worst org in the league. We aren't. Now you're just hedging.

And what metric are you using? In your first response, you said a franchise that’s a year removed from an 11-6 season and a playoff birth is a worse organization along with an ad hominem attack. In your next post, you mentioned six organizations that you claimed to be worse, three in which have made the playoffs more recently than the Saints. At this point I feel like you’re arguing just to argue.

Just pointing out your bad takes as usual Jerry.

Definitively saying the saints are the 2nd worst org in the league is patently false.
