Free agent RB David Johnson is visiting the Saints today, per sources. Team has a need there. Adding someone would make a lot of sense.

I guess OK for a camp "tryout." Hoping that Smith is able to secure a backup spot.

Whoever is the best back in the USFL would probably be a better tryout.

McKinnon recently re-signed with the Chiefs, so there's not much left at all in the RB department.

He was great in AZ couple years ago, wasn't very productive in Houston but that team needed a lot of help in general.

Not a bad pick up if they can sign him. Not bad at all.

Was hoping we would get a shot at signing Darrel Williams but he signed few weeks back with the AZ cardinals!

He averaged nearly 5 ypc just two seasons ago in Houston, and he's still a pretty good threat out of the backfield for a RB.

He wouldn't be a bad fit.

We only need him for 4-6 weeks likely for Kamara's suspension, hopefully he can still have a little magic left for that short period

if we sign suh and schobert i'm def putting money down on a super bowl this year. i don't even know what the odds are, but it would be worth putting a little on it.

Johnson has been terrible lately.

I’d rather us sign Justin Jackson or bring back Latavius Murray.

A couple of years ago but Johnson is a double threat in running and catching the ball

Had that guy on my fantasy team back in 2016 and he was a must play every week.

at 30 he is a little past peak - but I would not mind him as backup at all.

5 years ago. He's been trash since. Wayne Gallman is a much better option as a runner but he's not a receiver like Johnson.

Was not crazy at all about DJ but I was thinking more as a RB and forgot what a excellent receiving back he is. And that is what we need most. Hope he signs a fair deal and is ready to go.

Really good out of the backfield. He’s not completely washed, but I don’t think there’s a lot of tread left on the tires, insert any other metaphor you can think of.
