Yeah I haven’t seen his name yet

Njoku feels a little redundant with Juwan, no?

Wrap up Olave and him and you are sitting reallly good for Draft.
Olave is under contract already. And with the contract Pierce just got, it’ll be cheaper to slap the franchise tag on him next year.

Lmao what? It is absolutely not cheaper

interesting reminder...
w/ those in mind, you know he's basically a saint for 2 years and about a total of 45ish+ million. Add a partial guaranteed 3rd year of roughly 33-35 million and call it a day with 4 yr being an non-guaranteed number. Olave guarantees should be inbetween 75-85 close to pierce.

pickens was franchised this year at 27.3 million. Even a bit of an increase is less than potentially 33.

But it will be close
Pickens will play on a one-year, $27.3 million nonexclsuive tag.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Seeing we had a bidding war with Sean Payton for him

So the avg for two years for Olave folks could be 22.5 mil per year if we want. 2026 15 mil. 2027 est tag 30 mil.
So with all the signings and cost of WR is this a good deal?
I say yes.

This is who I wanted us to get. Half the cost of what we paying Etienne. Said the last few weeks on here. A nice temporary solution.
Half the cost because he comes off the field on 3rd down and doesn’t possess big play ability. Which is fine if that’s what you want but there’s a reason he’s half the cost

15 + 31.5 + 35+ 35= equals pierce's 116 over 4.

Saints lack playmakers and have had for quite sometime. Etienne is a proven playmaker in his prime that can catch out of the backfield. It’s a home run signing to pair with Shough.

Well we can't get Pierce at that price for two years anymore

Let me educate you. Pierce just got a contact averaging 29 million a year. He barely went over 1k this year.
Pickens franchise tag amount this year is 27 for one year.
Olave is an all pro that has had multiple 1k yard seasons. If I’m a betting man, I’d say he will get a good bit more than Pierce if he hit free agency.
So for next year, his salary on the franchise tag is likely much lower.
