I NEVER said the turnovers didn't hurt, but points are NEVER guaranteed.
The only way we guaranty a win is if we stop them on the last drive.

they needed 13 yards to score 13 points off of 3 of our turnovers.

When you get down to 20 seconds to play in the game AND YOU'RE IN THE LEAD and your opponent is in your half of the field the ONLY thing that matters at that point is stopping them.
Not turnovers that happened earlier. Not T.O.P. Not field position.
Stop them from scoring and you win.

look, the whole point was you were putting blame on one aspect of the game, i don't disagree that this didn't factor in, but the turnovers put us in this position.

BUT WE OVERCAME THE TURNOVERS AND HAD A LEAD LATE IN THE GAME... LIKE VERY LATE.... LIKE PACK UP THE BUS ITS TIME TO GO HOME LATE. AND OUR DEFENSIVE MASTERMIND WENT LIMP AND STUPID ON US.
YOU CANNOT SAY THAT TURNOVERS THAT HAPPENED IN THE FIRST LOST THE GAME BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CLUE IF THEY REALLY WOULD HAVE LEAD TO SCORES BY US. FOR ALL YOU KNOW WE MISS THE FIRST FIELD GOAL, THEN WE GO 3 AND OUT AND PUNT ONLY TO HAVE SAN FRAN RETURN THEM FOR TD'S AND WE ARE DOWN 17 ANYWAYS.
but if you play prevent offense and make Alex Smith find a receiver and end up stopping him... then you for sure 100% win the game.

it would have been worse since it would have meant the d was getting dominated and controlling the game instead of just giving up scores because of the offense and special teams
