Ask Jamarcus Russell.

I wouldn't say I'm a hater, but I'm certainly a skeptic. He is what he is, but what he isn't is a 20-carry workhorse running back. That's fine, if that's what you expect. That's not what I expected, which was probably dumb on my part.

Why would one expect him to be something in the NFL that he wasn't in college. He always was finess, jukes, and speed. The guy can light up the stadium by simply taking a toss right. If anyone expected him to grind out yards late in the game to move the chains then you're just an idiot and a horrible observer.

This was all I ever expected of him. Just expected it more than 2-3 times a year.

What are there like 4 of those left in the NFL? Everybody splits time now.

I really would like to see him play in 16 games again. That's the X-factor with him. His style of play makes him more subject to injury with all the "dancing" he does. But that's what he is so we have to take that in stride.

Why is he used in that role then?

He's not. Payton doesn't grind anything.

That's what she said.

Because it took the coaches a bit to trust PT and Bush was just filling in....maybe? Watch it, logic alert. They knew Bush was not an every-down back, they were just hoping to be surprised by him until they found a worthy back to compliment him. That back just happened to be on the roster already.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying 60 million for Bush, he isn't going to see that whole contract.

I don't know if anyone actually reads anymore, but I did say that it was dumb on my part to think that he'd be a 20-carry workhorse running back.

Yeah, that's pretty logical.
Go into the season with a guy you know can't handle the load but at the same time throw the load on his shoulders and hope he can handle it.

I did read it.

My reply was kind of ambiguous in tone. Why so defensive?

Nice points on this thread but back to the title. I'd say his STFU got crushed.

Of course he won't. No more than any other player. But answer me this...Do you think Drew Brees is living up to his "$60M contract". IMO of course he is.

Few things are certain in this life. Were all gonna die, pay taxes and Reggie will fumble, get hurt and run out of bounds.

Probably in that order....

...because he's the only NFL player that has fumbled, battled injury, and has stepped out of bounds rather than taking a meaningless hit....
