He's a star. Stars get paid. Blame that on the media, not the FO.

You know what I mean... the thing is, I want him to do well so the Saints can get it done.

I blame that on the Pac 10

If Reggie becomes a back that can split carries out of the backfield... average about 4 yds or so a year and maybe end up with 200 carries and roughly 800 plus yards with about 90 catches and about 950 yds receiving and be a huge threat as a decoy in the offense the whole time while being a dynamic punt returner... he's worth every penny.

I don't care where he is running...if he is getting 4 ypc, its getting done. Yeah, I'd like him to be a "prototypical" running back, but he isn't. If he leads the league in TDs, I think he is earning his paycheck. He was doing this until he got hurt. His injury proneness(is this a word) is another topic.

So Reggie isn't hitting holes?
Seems to me more often than not that he's dancing in the backfield.

The .2 yds per carry to get to 4.0 is another 7 inches per carry.

4 ypc is 4 ypc no matter how he gets it.

ETA: I'm rounding up Chad. 3.8 is 4 to me.

I'm just making sure they really are understanding what little difference a .2 yds per carry really is. That's basically 1 run busted or one missed tackle he slips out of to jump up there. He played most of his games last year when the line blocked like shite. Reggie will find his rhythm....

By that logic, Pierre Thomas has 5 ypc. And he don't dance.

And before you throw out the 2-3 3rd and shorts that every hater is hung up on think about all of Reggie's 3rd and shorts.

the fact is, on Sunday in September when he takes the swing pass out the backfield, jukes a line backer and out runs the safeties to the endzone, every single one of you will be taking part in the REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE! that will engulf the dome.

A Sunday in September huh?
What's he gonna do when he gets the call on a 3rd and 1 in December?

So I have to cheer both when he makes a play and when he plays like shite?
Cheering good plays and criticizing bad ones is hypocrisy? I think not.

That's where Reggie is most useful sometimes. He hits the sticks on the corner better than anyone else in the league as a rb with his speed. He's had many many many 1 yard carries in his short NFL career that nobody else could make.

I hope so. I love the big play potential he carries with him but they're so few and far between.

I ain't throwing out shite. I just didn't want to type 3.8 every time.

Anyway, I'm a huge PT fan. I think he can carry the load and splitting time with Reggie will only help him. I just think Reggie is getting bashed unjustly....a lot.

Reggie is a game changer. All it takes is those 2-3 plays a game that NOBODY else in the league can make... and Reggie can be that game changer earning his game check. I do expect more of these plays to come and hopefully our line can improve this year. Pierre can be our stabilizer and Reggie will be our game changer.

Yet PT seems to get more. Hit the fricking hole with out the west coast dancing and I'm off his back. You can't argue that away and even the head coach is sick of seeing it.
