Well they quickly scratched him off the list now.

I hope he can present a convincing argument and not just sound angry because he didn't get a job. He really is a good coach.

shite. The commissioner and the heads of the 32 families make all decisions related to the “Shield”. If they want him as a head coach in New Orleans he’ll be here and the Saints will take the hit for the league just like they did as the scape goat for the CTE scandal and lawsuits when the "Shield" pushed Bounty Gate to the media as a cover to make it look like they gave a shite about the players.
If they put this guy in New Orleans they get to appease the BLM idiots and also not upset the balance of power in the league by having a shite show in a “Major Market”.
I think if he ever coaches in the NFL again it will be in New Orleans.

So explain to me why Jim Caldwell does not have a HC job...
Record 62-50 and took a team to a Superbowl

I honestly want to know why not try to start a black/white issue at all

Maybe because of his post season record? He's 2-4 in the post season, with three of those loses being in the Wildcard. Plus, he seemed to catch lightning his first year with the Colts(Super Bowl berth) and the Lions(11-5), but started sliding immediately afterwards. In three years with the Colts he went 14-2, to 2-14...with Peyton Manning.

When he first got fired, I immediately said there has to be more to this.

You don't fire a guy that goes on a winning streak like that--typically I don't buy into these types of stories but this one prob has some merit.

If the information in an article about how he was treated by Ross in Miami is true then his career was likely already done. Ross and the Dolphins front office was trying to influence Flores to break NFL rules and Flores refused.

The way I understood it was that Miami organizations was likely using Flores as a disposable asset to get him to do their dirty work to which Flores would eventually be the scapegoat. I think those situations in Miami on top of the HC racism claims is what put him over the top and made his decision to lay it all on the line.

If the NFL had credibility they would investigate the Miami owner/organization of the claims that Flores has made against them. The player tampering would be easy to confirm.

Their dirty work? Like lose to get Burrow?

No, like meeting with players under contract with other teams. Apparently there was a veteran QB that Ross wanted Flores to talk to and Flores refused. Ross then scheduled a meeting with Flores on Ross' yacht and when he got there Ross told him this QB was going to be walking down the dock and he wanted him to go talk to him. It was all a set up by Ross and Flores immediately left. After that is when all his problems started.

Ross wanted the team to lose at the end of the year so they could get top draft picks. Flores said no and when they started winning games it was all over for Flores.

As woke as the NFL is, their statement on the matter tells you all you need to know about the validity of Flores’ claims.

Much less hired attorneys that cited the wrong Supreme Court decision. Plessy vs. Ferguson

When you falsely accuse an organization instead of owning up to your shitty record then yes you get mad. Using false accusations of racism as leverage tells me loads about the character of Flores.

If ownership was incentivizing losing games and handicapping your chances of winning and reflecting on the coaches win-loss record, then firing him for performance is pretty screwed up. I don’t believe it was racially motivated but it looks like there was to frickery going on with the Miami front office. Interested to see what else was going on.

Did they use performance as the reason to fire him? I thought they were going with the fact that he didn't get along with the people in the front office. Possibly because they offered him $100k a game to lose and he kept winning.

I keep laughing reading this bc it’s so ridiculous. Idk if they fired him for performance though. The more I’ve seen, they’re trying to paint the picture that he was difficult to work with and wasn’t seeing eye to eye with management. The dolphins ownership is in some big time hot water if these allegations of incentivizing tanking are true.

It is scary how mad this has made white peoples

No, not mad, more like annoyed.

Like " alright , what now? Annoyed"

In these super charged divisive times. It seems like everything is "racist"

Maybe Flores is just a jerk and the owners don't want to deal with his personality?

There are 32 guys who own a billion dollar company. They don't want to be forced to hire somebody based on their skin color. They want to hire someone they feel has qualifications and they can work with.

Hell Miami took a chance on him, apparently the owner felt different afterwards. So is he racist after he hired him?
