Not a bad deal if he does well. We really need this red zone presence

18 gtd seems fine to me. I don't see anything wrong with those numbers.

The Saints last year did not help their FA glow.
Maybe he never wanted to be a Saint who knows.
It appears he said yes to Pitt

14 mil guaranteed the first 2 yrs sounds better, but it's still a lot of cheese.

Thanks, I am trying to understand more on these contracts and the salary cap. Anytime you throw knowledge my way it is greatly appreciated. Stuff can be pretty confusing.

Like I said earlier. Fleener will be very productive for us.

$18 mil is too much. That's basically 3 of the 5 years guaranteed.
But that's only if it's fully guaranteed and not year to year like a lot of deals are.

Ladarius Green gets a four-year, $20 million deal with the Steelers. Truly a year-to-year deal. He gets $6M in 2016, $11M in first 1 years.
Green we more costly in 2016
Or not lol
Terms of TE Ladarius Green’s 4-year deal with Steelers: $4.75M guaranteed, $20M max value. Cap hit of just $2.44M in 2016.

pretty sure he would have listened had he had 18$mil guaranteed

Forget Red Zone, he runs a 4.5 forty haha but yes, exactly we are lacking a big presence in the Red Zone.
He should produce in that area of the field.

What was that about Watson?
Edit:
And I scroll through some more and see I was right after all.
Thanks for laughing early jack.

Will be the thread all year

if he plays 3 years of his 5 year deal, he gets $18mil.

Thus making my point...god you're stupid

Yes let's give the guy with 77 career catches $20 mil.
Posted on 3/9/16 at 8:46 pm to bonethug0108
yea its not like he was stuck behind a top 5 all time TE
Posted on 3/9/16 at 8:47 pm to bonethug0108
How about some context instead of fitting your narrative. Such as behind hall of fame TE Antonio gates. Albeit not in his prime but still productive and a great rapport with rivers.

Yes I know I wasn't clear but I did mean fully guaranteed. Only $14 mil is.
And if he sees year 3 then he will be worth the contract so at that point it's a wash.
I'm still going with this being a bit pricey but he's a steal this year so we may only over pay next year.
