Underhill on his show had stated that this week DA put empty gas containers in the vets lockers to basically motivate them the next 4 weeks. He also stated some of the vets just moved them to the side or there wasn’t really a reaction per se.

I just feel at this point DA is trying too hard. First of all this is a typical Sean Payton move- not really sure this is who DA really is. Second if I’m a vet player I’m sure I’m rolling my eyes in regards to the bigger issues in the locker room and accountability and you’re putting fricking gas tanks in my locker. Its crazy that DA is that oblivious that he thinks the team responds to him like they did with Payton.

Not saying this tactic worked by DA but people need to stop acting like Payton is the only person to have these type of coaching motivation tactics. Almost every coach tries things like this.

Payton was lucky to have Brees in his prime and that’s the end of the story. He will not have the same in Denver unless he gets another elite QB in his prime.

Don’t need stupid motivational tactics. The coach just needs to make in game intelligent football decisions.

Should have been full gas tanks. Gas is expensive these days

Going to laugh when he gets another ring in Denver. Saints fans were lucky that they had him for 15 years.

15 years, several division championships, playoff wins, national recognition and a superbowl yet people still shite on him like he bailed on us. Most nfl coaches don’t last 5 years with the same team.

And by the way he has a better record with a washed up Russell Wilson and a team that started 1-5 than we do. He won several games with Jameis, Taysom and Bridgewater starting at quarterback. He even was winning when Brees could barely throw the ball 20 yards downfield.

He’s completely turned that team around in his first season there and has them contending for the division title against the defending super bowl champs.

He isn’t getting a ring in Denver. He is doing exactly what he did in brees’s waning years in Nola. They are 7-6 and soon to be 7-7. Sound familiar? Don’t act like they are some offensive juggernaut like 2011 saints.

Their last three wins are all against teams that lost their QB

Good for him he beat the teams hes suppose to beat. Meanwhile we lost to the Vikings with their third string qb. We have no right to complain about our former head coach and the so called quality of his wins. Hes winning after starting 1-5 with a much harder schedule.

I am not arguing we are better or that DA is a better coach, he isn’t. My original comment was simply that he wasn’t the first coach to invent motivate players in unique ways.

The Lions are beating the brakes off his team much like Dennis's team recently.

it's being done by Saints former assistants.

Ok and where did anyone post that he was?

I just stated thats its well known Payton did these tactics in his tenure because its still talked about by his former players. God forbid people even bring up the name Sean Payton in a post lol.

Wrong x 2. He's year one with a team that finished near the bottom of the league the previous year and looking like he may get them to the playoffs. Sound familiar?

Has he been perfect? Hell no, but you are lying your arse off if you say you'd rather have Dennis Allen over Sean Payton. His team looks like it has potential, ours looks like it potentially might spontaneously combust at any moment.
