Tyler Eifert has 30 catches over hte last 2 years combined. That'll move the needle

You’ve never watched him play have you

He could help us. He’s cheap. His contract ends at the end of this year. There’s literally no reason to to push hard for him

Exactly. Finally someone speaking sense

We inquired about him last year. If he stays healthy, warranted that’s a big If, he’s a huge EZ target and probably a better receiving TE than Cook. Having both on the field would only help Kamara and Thomas. We don’t necessarily have to get a WR

he never plays so i haven't seen much from him in the last like 5 years

he's played < 20 games over the last 3 seasons. waste of time.

Yep. Presumably we could get him pretty cheap and probably with some conditions.

How does Eifert help us in the compensatory pick game? If he walks as a UFA, would he need to get a big money contract elsewhere for it to matter?

He’s worth the risk. Go put on his highlights.

Im not sure about that. It may pull more defenders up near the line and in the box and limit big plays.

Neither cook nor Eifert are going to beat you deep which may put a ton of pressure on Brees to throw it downfield to keep the defense honest. And we don’t really have a deep WR that can do that.

I’m guessing it’s Dez Bryant.

We don’t need a deep threat. Ginn is our deep threat. We need another player that can consistently make tough catches in the middle of the field and Eifert does that. He stretches teams. He’s a mismatch.

Teams stacking the box? Great, Cook, Eifert Thomas and Ginn would torch a 7-8 man box

The Saints are keeping all their picks and doing a "Ricky Williams" trade this off-season for Joe Burrow. I kid but I want it to be true.

We need someone that can keep Austin Carr off the field. That would open up more of this offense. Not eifert.

Larry Fitzgerald? Sure he'd like a chance at a ring. UFA after this year...
