Pretty much every organized religion is “anti-gay”

Where does the line stop?

this is the pig who created this non-story

this ONE woman feels she has the moral authority to lecture not only Brees, but the rest of the public as well. it's always some white, liberal scum who feels their opinion is how every one else should feel.

question is, would she go after someone of Islamic faith who did the exact same thing Brees did in supporting his? Absolutely not. she wouldn't have the balls to do it. frick her.

He owes the PC police absolutely NOTHING!!

Screw the Twitter mob. I am just sad he felt the need to respond.

Keep it moving, Drew.

I’m asking if it’s problematic every time when an athlete identifies with any organized religion or some subset group within.

Publicly identifying with an anti gay group is going to put you in the cross hairs.

TBH I never knew FOTF was "anti-gay" until faux outrage libtards did some digging and decided to point that out to paint Brees in a false light. I don't oppose voluntary conversion therapy if one wants to pursue that but when it comes to gays today, I'm usually libertarian, let them live their life despite homosexual activity is CLEARLY antithetical to biblical scripture. We have to remember that FOTF is a conservative Christian organization that strives to conduct itself as close to scripture's text as possible (which naturally and logically is how one is supposed to interpret scripture and instruct adherents and explains why so many political conservatives support conservative religious sects) and scripture's very clear about homosexuality. Kinda contradictory that Americans today call conservative Christianity a "hate group" considering the ENTIRE BASIS of American society is the common law structure installed in England by William the Conqueror and the Normans which were immensely Catholic and inherently conservative. Like a snake eating its own tail.

I heard the original message, the Instagram message and yesterday's press conference. Brees handled this very well. I am completely satisfied with his explanation. He should close the book on this matter and concentrate on FOOTBALL.

I dont see what's naive about saying..

quote:

Brees went on to explain that he loves, respects and accepts all “no matter your race, your color, your religious preference, your sexual orientation, your political beliefs. It doesn’t matter.”

It's not calling to hurt anyone, is saying recognize differences and care about the human being. How is that in any way negative or hateful?

Its basically about as vanilla of a message or agenda as there can be. And it's off the field.

He’s very good at throwing the ball

I think he’s probably a humble and loving guy that truly means he wishes the best for everyone

He’s consistently terrible at picking business partnerships and such. It’s cost him money and caused him headaches frequently.

Brees does weird shite sometimes. I like him a lot but wtf drew?

Can you imagine Gleason getting scammed on jewels, opening a shitty chain restaurant or pimping pyramid schemes or worst yet being aligned with some fallwellesque group?

I mean, he also did deals with Pepsi, Vick’s vapor, and pampers. And tagged on with walk ons, which you can love or hate walk ons, they are exploding across the country.

Like most people, he makes some good decisions, some bad ones

I love how so many are taking the word of these crazies that Focus On the Family is some extremist hate group. These are the same people who have labeled Chick Fil A a hate group.

How you gonna turn on Coke in the South?

I don't think anyone actually believes Brees hates gay people.
His explanation on twitter was pretty good, and I doubt it will go anywhere from there.
