We draft a really good Center and switch him to guard.

I think Saints either trade up for a player they want or back to get extra 2/3 and add DT and DE

The Saints will trade back with their 1st round pick to get another pick close to the top of round 2

i would call it more of a sure thing then a bold prediction, but the saints will trade away their 2024 1st round pick, and this years 29th pick, to move up to pick in the late teens of the first round.

then they will give up all 4 of their later round picks to end up making only 1 pick in rounds 2, 3 and 4

they will come out of the draft with 4 decent to good picks, and i expect them to get a grade of B+ on their moves and picks

while most saints fans come out very disappointed in the picks we got

Terrible take

Last 5 years first rounders:
2018: Davenport - picked 14th, mocked mid 1st (Walter Football had him at 15)
2019: None
2020: Ruiz - picked 24th, mocked late 1st, early 2nd (Walter Football had him at 31)
2021: Turner - picked 28th, mocked in 2nd (Walter had him at 60, ironically to Saints)
2022: Olave - picked 11th, mocked mid 1st, (Walter had him at 16th to Saints)
2022: Penning - picked 19th, mocked mid 1st (Walter had him at 17th

You proved my point and you didn't even mention that we spent two first round picks each on Davenport and Olave

Saints trade down with Tennessee out of the first round as the Titans want Hendon Hooker

That in the last 5 years, they drafted 4 players w 1st round grades by “experts” and 1 w a 2nd round grade to refute your claim they pick players w 3rd round grades in the 1st; and somehow you think that proves your point?

I think the Saints will have a really good draft of players they need. The will give up some later picks to move into round 2 and snatch another good player. The6 Will them then pick up 2 or 3 undrafted players that are almost better than the drafted players.
It will be a solid draft in the front 7 for the Saints defense. They will get a Receiver and RB in the backend of the draft.

That is their strength IMO. I can't imagine anyone does better at that than the Saints

This definitely seems to be the Saints front office April M.O.

However, It the 4 or 5 players they get are quality players with at least one or two starters on the DL this year then I'd be happy with it.

I used Walter Football because it's the only one that I can easily find pre-draft mocks going back 5 years. But based on the mocks, the only true reach would have been Turner.
