Was banged up a lot last year.

Was injured in the very 1st practice of camp, has not been seen since, and DA called him out after the injury.

I think its safe to say that if he doesn't make it back to participate in a Preseason game, he might be out?

They could put him on IR for 5 weeks at the beginning of the season I think.

i mean assuming he's going to be a no show this week's game... he's down to 1 preseason game left... tough to make the team doing nothing. IR his arse worst case.

This is why you never trade away draft picks in order to move up in the draft. It’s too hit or miss, and way too many of these guys end up busting. You can’t justify throwing away all your draft picks for one guy when you have no idea if that guy will actually pan out anyway.

Why would you get rid of him on a rookie contract
Jamaal Williams is more of an issue at that salary considering he didn't contribute last season

What will it take for Loomis and Ireland to get the boot? The ineptitude astounding. Couple that with the worst HC in NFL history. Its almost as if they are intentionally trying to devalue the franchise and piss on the fanbase

What good is a rookie contract if they can't even be on the field ever?

You could just get a UDFA that isn't as talented but is actually there for that

He will be on the team one way or another

Maybe they pup him on pup to start the year.

Has a timetable been announced foe his injury?

Agreed wasting 1-3 rd draft picks on players with an injury history is also hurting

If placed on reserve-PuP you don't count vs the 53 but you sit out first 4 or 5 games. I don't think you can play in preseason.

You could sign a brick to a rookie contract too. Don't make it useful.

3 ypc is more of a contribution than dnp

They’re both dogshit on two separate ends of their careers. No burst, no home run hitting ability. We could do just as well with a couple of udfa.

He will get this year imo.

I don't see them cutting him. At worst put him on pup.
Miller is too talented to cut after one yr.

Dude refused to suit up for the Natty. It’s no surprise he doesn’t suit up for practices and preseason games

This year is not his last chance because we have too much draft capital invested in him. Same with Penning.

A 3rder getting cut after a year will barely raise an eyebrow. His saving grace is they didn't stumble on his replacement with any of the udfas. Have no doubt they'll be monitoring cuts around the league for his replacement.
