I can’t imagine anyone who does not like Taysom Hill. And I don’t mean just Saints fans.
He is a joy to watch.
However, I understand what you mean. I think most Saints fans were more upset with the play calling with him. I definitely wanted to see him throw early on like last night.

I said it in the game thread that the Taysom 2.0 experiment where he's actually a passing threat is deadly.

Taysom is a true gladiator, he’s the best athlete on the field. The bucs were scared to tackle him last night, dude is mean as hell.

I’ve been a huge taysom critic this year and rightfully so. You can blame it on Payton at times but the truth is he’s been flat out awful at times. I do think last nights game plan and use of him was phenomenal and taysom played phenomenal. The read option with taysom just isn’t really working and i like calling passing plays for him because cause it still clears out a lot of the traffic for him to run. Taysom in the open field imo is just as big of a nightmare as Kamara, yet different. Taysom has had major issues reading defenses and missing wide open receivers but last night he was brilliant. I def don’t think he’s even remotely close to a starting qb but he can have a fantastic career doing what he’s currently doing. If taysom can complete some passes or just a pass in the game it opens up a plethora of things for us.

exactly...if there is no threat of a pass he is way less dynamic.

I don't know how long it's going to take for me to NOT have this instant reaction every time I see the shot of Drew on the sideline when we have the ball.

Maybe, but that was a week toss that was behind Cook. Still don't feel good about him throwing the ball.
He legit needs a full game of running this offense for everyone to actually see what he can or can't do.

Taysom’s a Sean Payton vanity project. Sean Payton is still a top three coach in the NFL. Does he get stubborn and overconfident? Yes. Is he right enough times to justify it? Yes.

We've always liked Taysom. We just didn't like the maddening and inconsistent way Payton was using him.
The way he was used against Tampa Bay was perfection and I'm hoping Payton had some revelation on how to properly use him going forward.

I never didn't like Taysom. But I do think he needs to stick to a TE/RB hybrid position over QB.
This! Let's face it Sunday night EVERYTHING was working, it was just one of those nights. Let's not judge him by just that one night's performance. It took many many games for most of you guys to see that QB was the wrong postion.

You’re right that it wasn’t a great pass, but just attempting it made the D have to respect the possibility

This is all so confusing, I'm not even sure if we're still supposed to hate Brees, who's a cuck, who's a rioter or all the rest....
