Winston is trash. If Wilson is a possibility, you find a way to make it happen.

Wilson and Rodgers should be plans A and B. I would guess Winston is plan C.

Plan C is the most likely.

If we’re able to carry over the defense, they will be even better next season. Give a QB like a Winston better oline play (health and consistency solves that) and more weapons; he can beat any of those mentioned

I see them giving him a 3 year deal for a few reasons. Takes the urgency out of needing a QB every year. If they draft a rookie in ‘23, he’ll have 1-2 years before having to step in. The more years, the easier to spread the cap hit (~$60M over right now)

I think they kick the tires on a Wilson trade, it eventually decide it’s not worth the costs. I think they avoid a Rodgers trade because he’ll retire any year now. Then you would have given up all those assets for a 2-3 year elite QB play then in worse position then than you are now

Sadly, I think next season is a stop gap season at QB, most likely Hill or Jameis. I think we still owe Brees like 25mil in cap space next season, so can't see them spending big on a FA QB. I think the next year is when we make a play for a franchise guy.

Well we are projected to be 60MM over the cap, so there's that little thing we need to take care of first.

Through restructures/cuts/etc. we can free up within the vicinity of 80-90M. Cap goes up too. So we should have some room to work, albeit not much.

And no, we will not be trading MT.

I would imagine Broncos go after Green Bay offensive coordinator as Head Coach in order to lure Aaron Rodgers to Denver.

My guess would be stick with Winston, or go after Garapolo

I find it doubtful the Niners let Jimmy G go.

Winston is probably serviceable to get you to a playoff but nothing else. No farther. Seems like we are stuck in neutral. This has to be addressed

How far did the Saints get with Drew the last few years. While eating up cap space.

If they don’t land Wilson or Rogers you blow it up and get a ton of picks.

Then what was the point of drafting Lance?

I love Teddy but Winston is better

Before the injury this year, no question. But there has to be some unknown as to how Winston will return coming off a major knee injury. Bridgewater isn't an all pro, but he's someone the Saints at least have an idea of what they can do with him. Winston is better from a physical-tools standpoint. But even in the first 6 games he starter the Saints were ultra-conservative with him. Now, he's a guy whom they were already hesitant with, coming off a major injury.

In a perfect world the Saints would have gotten to see a full season out of Winston and have a better idea of things moving forward. Unfortunately, they aren't in a much different place than they were at the beginning of the season. Hill isn't a starting QB and they think Winston COULD be a good player, but aren't certain.

Hill won't even be an option until the second half of the 2022 season due to his Lisfranc injury.

How? With how much draft capital? With what cap room? We are currently paying a quarterback to call games for NBC

Well now we know what they are going to do.
