If there was ever a time to do it, it’s this draft. It’s not very deep and somehow acquiring another 2nd or 3rd would be clutch for this team.

We know Loomis will be itching to trade up with Day 3 picks, so I think we need to do what we can to have 3-4 picks on days 1 and 2.

I would try and trade with Jacksonville swap 14 for picks 17, 96, 117 and maybe 234.

We should, but we won't. My bet is we stand pat at 14, pick up a late 1st for Lattimore, bundle the comp picks to move into the fourth round, then bundle a sixth and seventh to move up slightly in the sixth.

So we can still end up with two players in the top 30 and three in the top 100. Would be nice to get four in that top 100

That doesn't make any sense, fyi.

If its not very deep, you target specific players, meaning you use picks to move up and around.

If it is deep, its more beneficial to try and move back and have more picks.

But Detroit is a great target team. Former Saints coach and ready to win it all.

This is one year where everyone in the first round has a legitimate 1st round grade. In fact, the 2nd round will be sprinkled with 1st round draft graded players.

This draft is top heavy and later rounds may not be as talented.

The Saints will stay exactly where they are in the 1st round.

I just don't see us passing on a OT in the first this year. Now can you trade down 4-6 spots and still get your guy?

6-9 OT's may have a first round grade.

I meant that we want as many picks in the Top 100 that we can get.

Exactly. Unless a game changer falls into your lap, the Saints have to select an OT in the first round.

I would target Buff at 28 or Detroit at 29 with Lattimore trade.

I already posted what I would ask for back from Detroit.

BUFFALO I would ask for picks 28, 99 and 159 or162. In exchange for Lattimore

We could also look at the Ravens
And ask for picks 30,93, and 134.

I would still take Verse, Turner or latu at 14,
Americus Mimms or Tyler Gyton OT with the late First round pick.
Jordin Morgin OT Arizona would be a great pick at 30 also.

If we go OT at 14 then DE Chop Robinson late 1st or puck 45 if he is still on the board.

Trading up to take another OT since Penning has worked out so well. They know they can’t miss on their player evaluations

Not getting that much for Lattimore. Nice to dream though.
