Don't get me wrong, I love Taysom as much as the next guy, but I dont get why people are FREAKING out about Sean not playing him last week when Drew went down. CSP is an offensive mastermind and knows what he is doing... he would rather throw in someone who has legitimate in game experience (yes, even if he did do poorly Sunday) than a swiss army knife who is a jack of all trades. I agree he should have gotten some playing time at the end, but thats why I am not the coach.
It's like asking the hostess at a restaurant to be the sous chef for the week.
Yes, Taysom should get at least a chance at some point, but while Drew is out, TB should be starting(unless Taysom comes out of nowhere and turns in to Drew reincarnated.)

I agree, but all the people that are losing their minds right now because were starting Teddy for the time being obviously have never played or know anything about football

not from anything specific. I have family members, co workers, and friends who say that they think its stupid that Taysom isnt starting. Hell even a few posters on here tend to think that

I do think that the "wildcat" plays where Taysom is at QB should increase

After the first possession of the second half didn’t go anywhere last week, it was at least worth a shot.

Teddy hasn’t looked good in two preseasons, the week 17 game, and now his matchup against the rams.

He’s yet to show anything after numerous opportunities that indicates post injury he can be the guy to lead a winning team. It’s not just the rams performance. The rams performance is in line with what he’s done almost every time he’s played for us.

I agree he should get a couple of games as the straight up full time starter....but I also think his leash should be very short. At least in terms of letting Taysom show what he can do if Teddy sucks

Exactly. Unless something miraculously clicks on Sunday, there should be no surprise how Teddy plays.

I'd give him a half. If the offense is stalling out due to mental mistakes and bad passes, it's Taysom time.

This leads me to believe you are no where near as smart as you think you are.

There was nothing wrong with Saints fans wanting to see what Hill could do in that game. It was painfully obvious the Saints were never going to score a TD under Bridgewater in that game. No reason not to give Hill the last series or two.

Any ways, we aren't losing our minds. I just can't see Bridgewater actually going out and winning a game. I can see Hill making big plays that could potentially win a game or two.. That's just an opinion based on what we have seen the past two years.

We have yet to see Teddy with all of the starters, with a game plan tuned to him, after a week of practice with the starters. He might do well or he might not do well but that is finally what we are going to see. We are about to see how good of a coach Sean is and Teddy will either make money or relegate himself to career backup.

So no full game or full week of practice with the starters

If you’re closing the door on teddy bc of those game you may as well close the door on hill bc he looked shitty in his 7 career nfl pass attempts

Do not forget the QB challenges he was awful too and Tayson was surprisingly good

I am sorry but If Teddy doesn't scramble and wants to stay in the pocket he is a poor mans version of Drew Brees. In relative to height and arm strength. Drew Brees gameplan should not be much different than Teddy's, other than simplifying it

Is Taysom about as good as Lamar Jackson? I think so and look how he is destroying teams.

Week 17 of last year all of the offensive starters other than drew played at least a few series. He practiced with the team all week.

He spent much of preseason getting reps with the 1’s and playing the majority of his time with at least 2’s.

No one is closing the door. But he’s looked shitty every time he’s played for the saints. There’s plenty of legitimate reasons to be concerned. He plays tentative. He’s noodle armed. His accuracy has been awful this year. Forgot about overall effectiveness of his performance, what single thing have we seen him do well??

At least we know Taysom is an elite runner and has a cannon. That’s more nailed on positives to work with then Teddy has.

That being said, Teddy should get the next two games. Give him the full week of practice. Let Payton game plan for him. Not sure how that will help his arm strength or accuracy but we’ll see. If he does well great. I just hope that if he sucks we switch to Taysom before the season is lost
