Why aren't the Saints tools for not stopping? Goodell was a nice guy, and the Saints told him to frick off. The Saints are getting slapped for giving Roger the biggest finger he'd ever seen.

Well, Vilma was named in the NFL report (the only offender named) for putting a bounty on Favre for the NFC Championship game. Personally, this is what I expected for Vilma. But I anticipated more than 4 players suspended.

Holy shite. We expected the year for Vilma but actually see it hande down is nuts.
And wow, besides him we only lose Smith for 4 games. We're coming out very nicely in this.
And Brees should be signed by the end of the week now.

There's so much inconsistency in every penalty Goodell hands down
Says management and coaches should be held to a higher standard than players. That doesnt show at all in these penalties.

Also, this is the best possible outcome. The only player we lost of any significance is Smith and he is a mediocre, overpaid player.

I'll take it. After hearing that Vilma apparently had offered a bounty on Favre, you had to know there was good chance he'd be out for the year. Good thing we signed all those FA linebackers preparing for that. All we're losing besides that is Smith for 4 games? I'll take that all day and move on. Four months til kickoff and we can start taking out frustrations on the rest of the league
