He still got a long ways to go but he was very poised at the end and the moment didn’t seem to big for him running the 2 minute offense.

want Spenser or Haener to develop into a starter

Haener will NEVER develop into a starter.... arm is way too weak... an NFL backup is the pinnacle for this dude, and even that may be generous

Does the Rattler move to #2 yet?

Haener definitely looks to be a good backup in the league. He was accurate and had command of the offense. Arm strength isn’t a killer. Guess you forgot what Brees did with no arm at the end. But that’s probably his ceiling.

Rattler has starting qb ability and traits. Hes definitely got zip on his passes.
Needs to be more accurate. Showed poise in the pocket. He looks like the perfect qb to develop for a couple years. Maybe take the Jordan Love approach with him. He doesnt have the pressure of being picked in the first put in the fire before being ready like a lot of young qbs.

More importantly do we keep 3 QB on roster? Doubt we put one on practice squad.

It’s mainly people from one demographic…..from the New Orleans area (the same ones that thought Jameis was great and that DA was just racist)

Reminds me of a demographic that had a complete fixation on seeing Jameis fail and had to start 10-12 posts per game about him.

There was definitely some of that as well back then. The problem is that some just see what they want to see and that’s it. I had friends in the 2022 season that wanted Jameis pulled after the 1st drive or 2 of the season. I asked them “can we at least give the guy a half”

And I am someone that admittedly didn’t think Jameis was the answer at all, but I definitely wanted him to succeed.

There are some in the fan base that think he should already be the starter lol. He’s talented, but he’s played in ONE preseason game.

I don’t think anyone should be rooting against a guy on your team….. also don’t think it’s a good idea to have unrealistic expectations or refuse to acknowledge that a rookie may need time to develop lol.

It’s very polarizing in here when it comes to a backup rookie QB, and it’s very strange lol
