Didn’t see the second half. How did Spencer Rattler look?

Poised is the word I would use for his first nfl action.
As someone said he looks very natural throwing on the run.

Finally……someone who is actually realistic lol. Rattler is obviously talented, but he needs time to develop.

If you watch NOF or Locked on Saints on YouTube……..look at the comments section. You will see the comments every time they say anything positive about Rattler. It’s mainly people from one demographic…..from the New Orleans area (the same ones that thought Jameis was great and that DA was just racist)

If Mahomes and Vick had a love child it would be Spencer.

Guy was playing with the 3rd stringers. If you said he didn’t look good for situation he was in you are blind. Start no, but looked good. Get your head out Derek’s arse. We are looking towards the future, you know like how we didn’t when Drew was here.

He had 5 pass attempts and was under pressure on all of them.

Just say what you mean. Why use so many words when you could be concise Mr. Marsh.

Yeah everyone was looking for the next Brady from 2005-2021 but now I think everyone is looking for the next Mahomes. I just want a true young franchise guy a la Jackson, Burrow, Herbert, Allen, Purdy, Hurts.

It’s not anything about insecure. I like Rattler, I believe he has a lot of potential….it’s about people being realistic. I think that he has a great chance to develop into a starter.

What frustrates me is that there are people that want him to be the starter MAINLY due to his race. And these are the same assholes that cry racism all the time……but of course it’s not racist for THEM to act that way lol.

I REALLY want Spenser or Haener to develop into a starter eventually (or another draft pick if these two DON’T develop)……because that would mean that we hit on a draft pick and we have our franchise QB on a rookie deal. I don’t give a flying frick what race that QB might be.

It’s the hypocritical bullshite that irritates me

Is anything that I said not true? Some people on here are taking this as me attacking Spenser, and it’s not. He had a VERY good night. What I am attacking is the hypocrisy of people that act like what I talked about……the ones that bitch about racism, but all they see is race.

It shouldn’t matter what race a QB is (or any other position for that matter), just pull for them to develop and do well.

You’ve literally brought up race 3 times in 3 posts when no one mentioned anything about race prior to your interjections. You need to learn the definition of hypocrisy.

Natural at QB, going to take time to develop. If you read between the lines of the DA quotes from training camp he's not gunshy but he's making rookie decisions with the ball. Experienced defenses will eat a player like that alive.

As much as I don't like DA, they seem to be handling Rattler exactly like they should be and instead of throwing him into the deep end they are allowing him to learn at a healthy pace. Worst thing you can do with a player with tons of natural potential is crush their confidence early.

As far as people's optimism let them have it. Saints haven't drafted a QB this exciting since Archie Manning. I just hope that the next coach adequately assesses this kid and doesn't let him go be good somewhere else. Could make Rattler to the Saints be was Drew was to the Chargers.

I am not talking about ANYONE in this forum, I can’t recall anyone in here doing that. I specifically said people on YouTube.

Why don’t you tell me a better way for someone to call this out. Maybe I could have worded it differently, I definitely welcome an opportunity to learn a way to better communicate a view point.

I think this is correct, he OBVIOUSLY has great physical gifts. The biggest thing with him has always been consistency……and that can definitely be developed. Some of that was not his fault…..everything with moving programs from Ok to South Carolina, as well as that program being a shitshow.

I think Klint and his staff can do wonders for him

Has plenty of upside, that’s for sure. Time will tell but the talent is there.
