Poor guy, he doesn't know half of us want him gone before the season starts and the other half will follow if he loses the first couple of games!

Derek Carr last 10 games

72.5%
2278
19 tds
4 int

Offense scored 26.9 during this stretch

Trevor Lawrence 88 rating
Matt stafford 92 rating

It’s absolutely sickening how y’all pretend this man is terrible you can do much worse than Derrick Carr. Only 8 qb’s were better last year.

Sad reality you don’t understand is We aren’t doing better than carr any time soon

context would tell you majority of those numbers were gathered in games that didn't matter. in the games that did matter, those numbers were cumulated when down multiple scores in garbage time.

I hope he has a statue built on the terrace because he’s so awesome.

No one is cheering for him to suck. I still think the organization made a huge mistake extending him.

We also had one of the easiest schedules and played in the weakest division in the nfl.

Here’s some more context. There’s only two quarterbacks that played in all 17 games and had less passing touchdowns than Carr (25). Jalen Hurts (23) and Sam Howell (21). If you count rushing touchdowns both had more total touchdowns than Carr. Jalen Hurts had 15 rushing touchdowns

So EVERY SINGLE quarterback in the nfl that played as many games as Carr put the leather ball in the end zone more times than he did. FACT.

Which means he’s not great at winning individual games. Sure when you look at season long passing stats he ends up somewhere around average. But cumulative stats don’t get you in the playoffs. Wins do

He does not fit the Kubiak (Shannanhan) system. More mobile athletic QB's are needed for bootlegs, play action etc.... this OC knows it.

Of course they are behind him. Wanting him to be successful because he is the starting QB of their favorite team =/= being a fan of him

Have you never watched film of DC he can be mobile. The problem this year is he will be running for his life instead of rollouts with this O-line

Why are we just looking at the last 10 games to make an argument?

quote:

Trevor Lawrence 88 rating
Matt stafford 92 rating

What is the relevance here?

quote:

Only 8 qb’s were better last year.

Which 8? All year, or just over the last 10 games? Did you run the stats for the last 10 games for all QBs last year, or last 10 weeks of the season regardless of bye weeks and/or missed games?

quote:

We aren’t doing better than carr any time soon

Agree with this statement. But it's not really a selling feature for Carr as it is more of a complaint of the position the front office has this team in.

I see the Carr debate is still going on Strong. All we need is some more Carr salary angles from SFP.
But ANY QB that would be on our team right now would be playing behind likely the worse oline in the nfl. That is the more important story.

Yeah, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning were absolutely garbage at play action and bootlegs.

this OC knows it.

Which is the very reason why Derek Carr has been cut and Spencer Rattler named starting QB. Oh, wait.

I know he has a bad O-line in front of him this year and things may go south quick, but let’s see how he does with someone other than Pete Carmichael (can’t do anything about DA yet). I don’t think he’s great but the deck has been stacked against him since coming here.

Derek Carr is in the 17-18 spot for APY and that's not including several starting qb's on rookie contracts. He is what we purchased and have the ability to maybe get top 8-12 production out of him.

This should be in a dictionary under the entry on bad message board arguments. Stats mean everything when they support one's argument, but they suddenly become meaningless when they do not.
