Saints head coach Dennis Allen flew to Los Angeles on Thursday night to meet with Michael Thomas today. The get-together is basically a chance for the coach and star receiver to get to know each other better as they begin preparations for the 2022 season.
I know what Duncan is saying here but that seems...kinda weird.

I don't think it's that weird. How much contact does a WR have with the DC really? I'm curious to know how many conversations they've had up this point.
Also, side note, I kinda view the whole Watson thing as a net positive as is. I think DA has set the tone that he's willing to do whatever it takes to get better now and I think the players will appreciate it.

Lotsa reasons to visit Los Angeles. Are we sure he flew out there JUST to meet with MT? Cause that’d be a bit concerning, I’d think. If he was going out there anyway for other stuff, no big deal.

This now makes sense. Most likely the saints pulled out of the Deshaun deal yesterday and Allen went out to smooth it over with MT. MT was trying to recruit DW early on.
The saints pulling out makes sense as to how Cleveland became the pick after yesterday they were telling Baker they would not honor his trade request.
