Anyone here watch or hear of the series called The Dark Side of Football on Vice?

I recently found it and am on an episode about playing with pain. It highlights Kyle Turley and the Delvin Breaux incident with the Saints.

Not a fan of most of their liberal bs shows and dont actively watch their network but do enjoy some of their stuff like dark side of the ring, bar rescue is somewhat entertaining and im kind of liking the dark side of football stuff..

just have to take it with a grain of salt and understand their are extremely left leaning

I came in midway through that episode so missed the first part. I think I recorded a later showing but haven't watched it all the way through.

The Dark Side of the Ring can be very entertaining.

I remember back when vice was left leaning but nowhere near what it is today. When the owner did that sit down interview with obama it changed instantly. They clearly got paid to go hardcore leftist.

Just wait until the 30 for 30 comes out on the Saints doctors if the NFL ever allows it. We lost 2 of the top DBs of their time to injury that should have been caught by team doctors, as well as handing out pain medication like candy according to Turley. With the big push to ban Toradol, I expect that it comes out sooner, rather than later.

They use that for all sorts of crap in the ER. Acute Sickle Cell pain is the example that comes to mind.

They should do an episode on how the saints have been treated by the league.

I watched a few episodes. I don't know if it's the same episode, but Jeremy Shockey was saying how the team just pumped him full of opiates to continue playing.

Most of what I've seen seems like just a hit piece on the sport. However, it is interesting to have the curtain pulled back a little bit, but they definitely dont hide their true intentions.

Don't remeber Shockey in it but definitely had Turley in there and he mentioned thry had a bowl in the locker room with pills in it.

Unfortunately alot of what vice does is hit pieces on anything not liberal enough. But some of the info is interesting just have to remember there is a big left slant on it

Bar rescue comes on vice now?

I never thought of vice as liberal.

That's weird to me.

Former Raiders team doc Rob Huizenga wrote a book called "You're OK, It's Only a Bruise", which covered some of the same ground.
