It puts in perspective how screwed the the mid level QB market is.

The loser mentality is expecting 2 Raiders retread coaches and the Raiders near-decade long QB - all losers - to suddenly become winners because they wear black and gold now.

Take the fleur de lis cock out of your mouth.

Whats clear is that this board is clueless, and stuck in the past, when QB's were high paid at 20 mill a year.

It's the same thing as when we brought in Winston. Him wearing a black and gold jersey caused many to instantly forget just how many times we looked forward to playing against him.

The frick are you even talking about. Nobody was excited to play against Carr specifically because he was so awful as you insinuate, plus he’s in the AFC

I'm very obviously still talking about Winston, dumbass.

Also....we beat them 24-0 last season.

ETA: He went 15-26 for 101 yards and a pick before they benched him for Stidham. Stidham had a better completion % and better Yards per Attempt.

Winston was a former #1 pick , he was younger, we still had Payton and most importantly he didn’t cost anything it was worth taking a chance.

That was in triple coverage, FWIW. But all hail Carr!

ETA: Saints Talk savior Derek Carr so rattled that he throws a duck into triple coverage as he stands in the pocket untouched

This fall is going to be so fun on this board.

You can't find anyone on here that thought of Winston as anything but a reclamation project. And before he got hurt in Payton's last year, he was playing at a high level.

You see, smart football fans can separate a player from his teams failure / success and project them in another situation.

Trust me, I'm aware of all that. I wasn't completely opposed to him being a project backup QB. But watching idiots on here scream to put him in instead of Brees was both hilarious and annoying as hell.

He was playing at "a high level" the same way that Dalton did last year....and that's because Sean knew to limit the offense so Jamies didn't turn the ball over multiple times a game.

Then Payton left. So no more "QB Guru" to develop Jamies.

Then we paid Jamies $12mill a year. So no more "didn't cost anything".

6 for 60. I believe he played that contract out also. Man, he and Brady were cheap

I remember Brett Favre visiting the Saints as a FA in the 90s asking for $4 million a year.

Kuharich took us out of the running as soon as he heard the number, the same day Favre visited. No aggressive courting or mulling it over, like the Saints recently did with Suh or Watson. It was the equivalent of a FA like Mahomes asking the Saints for $50M/yr, but near-sighted Kuharich had an out-dated max number of, say, $35M/yr for any elite QB and told him to hit the road. Favre re-signed with GB and won a SB in the Superdome.

Carr's stats are right there as well. Saints should've kept the Red Rocket and saved some money

It really does. When you look at the average contracts for a QB, right now it's $30M plus for the top 16 guys. Then you have the mix of rookie contracts and guys needing to take a prove it deal in the $15M and below range.

True LOSER mentality. Bud hopes he is right about Derek Carr and that the Saints lose so he can come say I told you so on a chat board.

Pathetic.

No, you're conflating me "hoping" I'm right with me seeing the inevitable comet headed towards the franchise because I'm a realist.

Lil guys like you always try to act like they're bigger fans than everyone else who has a slightly negative opinion, even if it is more realistic. That's where you lose, because you're a loser with a 12 inch black and gold dick up your arse at all times.

ETA: I love the Saints just like you do, bud. But I'm not going to be running interference as a propaganda arm pushing the idea that this franchise is going to be different with a bunch of career loser Raider retreads. Get your fricking head checked out, lil guy.
