Keeping Kirkwood and Trequan are moves made by 7-8 win a year franchises. Afraid to take a small risk, so they lock in a mediocre squad.

The Saints are in what you call, football purgatory, folks.

Not a serious contender making moves like these.

This stupid shite again. Much as you may hate Smith, he’s an exceptional blocker which is a rarity for WRs. Jontre at worst will be picked up on the PS, if he isn’t signed by another team.

Teach another WR to block. At this point I think Trequan is banging Gayle Benson or has naked pictures of Mickey Loomis having relations with a dog.

Yes, championship level front offices are determined by who they keep as the 5th and 6th WRs. So stupid.

You can’t block if you are constantly injured.

Trequan's spot is going to someone else, and he is going to IR

I would’ve kept Kirklin over TreQuan. Wasn’t Kirkwood signed off of his couch at the end of last year? I’d have taken the chance on Kirklin, Kirkwood is a re-tread.

So stupid lol. It’s like having a cornerback who gets burnt every play but he’s the best tackler of the bunch

How is this stupid? Blocking as a WR is a huge factor in the running game. And to act like he always drops the ball is complete bullshite. He had three drops last year (which as infrequently as he was targeted admittedly isn’t very good; but to act like it’s off the charts bad is silly).

Thought I would check and in 2021 where he had the fourth most targets on the team, Smith dropped 2 balls all year and had a lower drop percentage than Kamara, Deonte Harty, Marquez Callaway, Juwan Johnson and Adam Trautman.

Greaaaat… here come the “but Tre’quan is a great blocker!” posts.

One person said that once and it gets repeated over and over as his defining trait.

Wrong. His defining trait is that he sucks as a pass catching threat and was a waste of a third round pick.

He averages fewer than 2 catches per game and goes about 350 yards per year. About 3.5 touchdowns per year.

Wow.

In a passing league. In which he has had every opportunity to step up and be a major part of the offense.

This is one of the reasons why the Saints remain average. They hang on needlessly to average players.

What the Fook are you talking about?

Jontre Kirklin instead of Keith kirkwood was going to get you 3 more wins?

Holy Fook you are stupid.

Trequan blocks and is a good ST player. If you’re the 5th wr that’s how you earn your spot

It also means you have a short shelf life until a rookie on rookie scale can do similar things.

Tre'Quan is garbage while Kirkland has lots of upside. Kid could develop into a beast.

We talking about a dude that barely played at LSU until half the team quit?

That guy is what your panties are full of sand about?
