I found it funny how this board was destroying him after his first few games with a bad team that he's trying to fix. The petty bitterness here is a blast to watch.

He can be as good as he wants to be....next season. I'll root for him. But this season, I want the best position for that 2nd rounder. So, for now, frick him. Next year, I'm rootin for ya.

We have one now. Payton lost two games by 3 points with shady officiating to boot. Roger G sent him a message to shut up about officiating. A good coach that lets arrogance and ego torpedo him with the league. Miss him.

They’re still an awful team, but no one said he was a bad coach. Of course Denver is going to be better with him there.

The reason we hate Shawne is because we know he is a good coach who quit on us.

Dude was head coach for 15 years for us. 15!! Lol you think he quit on the Saints? He wanted to try something different. It happens this isn’t Saban leaving LSU. Payton stayed years after winning a superbowl and still had us competing had a high level. I guess fans rather have a coach stay until he starts sucking and then fire him. Basically what Pats will do with Belicheck.

Do you actually think he did not quit.

100% he quit.
No QB is no man's land.

He went out on top, we got something out of it instead of holding on for 2-3 years too long, and firing him.

Everyone knows CSP is a good coach and he'll definitely put a contender together there or somewhere else.

Who is “Sean Payton”?

The wild variations I’ve seen on here make me laugh.

Payton is a great motivator. His teams almost always played hard here. I dont remember any year that the team gave up.

This can be the Sean Payton thread.

He's got the Broncos playing very well right now.

I'm hoping that he will suck in Denver, but, I don't expect to get my wish.

I want Payton to fail in Denver, but, I'm not going to get my wish. The guy is an outstanding football coach and he will have Denver in the Playoffs more often than not in the coming years.

I was hoping that he was washed up but he's anything but washed up. He's one of the best HCs in the NFL.

He's got Denver winning FOUR games in a row. They are a MUCH better team than the Saints right now.

Payton's Denver Broncos are going to the Playoffs THIS season, is my prediction.
