He was a good pitcher for Florida state. Would he have made more money pitching? His body would probably be a lot happier.

It’s way harder to be a MLB pitcher than a NFL qb

Don't know about that... there's around 400 active pitchers in mlb. There are probably well over 600 that pitch in mlb in a season

This just isn’t true. How many good pitchers are there? How many good QBs are there? QB might be the hardest position in all of sports.

There’s way more competition to beat out in baseball, some absolutely great college players never sniff the pros. Qb is the toughest job in football and CB is a close second, but it’s way harder to be a great mlb pitcher

It’s not necessarily harder to be an MLB pitcher than an NFL QB but Jameis is better at football. He’s earned 67 million in the NFL. Good chance he never makes the MLB as a pitcher or is like a mediocre reliever making $2 million a year

Thought you were suggesting he switch to Middle Linebacker.

Probably so. Those pesky defensive backs don’t get in the way when you throw a baseball.

Can you eat crab legs in the dugout?

He was a starter in the NFL. He made the right choice.

He would’ve made more money stealing crab legs and selling them on the street

I've not thought about Jameis Winston's corny arse since his shitty second half in the Panthers game. Good riddance.

It is 100% true if youre talking in terms of earning.

Winston received a $17 mil signing bonus as a rookie without even throwing a pass, and has earned nearly $70 mil in his 8 year NFL career

For reference the first overall picks in MLB around that time were getting like $6 mil guaranteed. The first two picks of the MLB draft Jameis' year, Brady Aiken and Tyler Kolek (both pitchers), never made it past A ball.

The guaranteed money just isnt there in the MLB. Winston would have had to go and prove himself through the minors and even if he was good, still has to go through the arbritation process once he reached the big leagues. Stud pitchers flame out every year in baseball. It is extremely difficult to make it.
