Common sense says catch because he had possession before getting hit. However, by the rule of the game, he didn't do anything in that moment he finally stopped the ball from bobbling that would dictate a "football move", so I can see it going either way and it's hard to argue.

I say call stands. Just go with the call on the field, that call is too tough to correct or confirm.
