He is still one of the better receivers in football and he does have history with Carr! Could or should the saints try to make this move?

I would lean towards the oline. Unless you think WR is a more urgent need?

I don't think WR is an issue. We need OLine and to be healthy.

Well Adams seems to be on the move from the Raiders. I’d love to try and get him

Normally I'd say pass, but he and Carr were prolific

Davonte is also a contested catch reciever, which we currently have none of. Also, I would rather him trying to catch the fade / jump balls instead of Shaheed

If we are going to waste high draft picks on Foskeys and Pennings then go get Adams. If we plan on drafting like we did this year then I say keep the picks.

Have you seen his contract numbers?

Mickey will create money, if there’s anything he’s good for it would be that

Pass unless he restructures significantly. He will be 32 in a couple of months and is due something like $80+ million for the rest of his contract (this year and 2 more years).

If the Saints want to continue to throw Shaheed a 50/50 ball in the end zone, that Shaheed never catches we need to go after Adams.

Would love to have him but would hate to see the implications it would put on our salary cap seeing where we are right now.

Team needs to go into a full rebuild mode. Too many backloaded contracts with players who are past their prime. Thankfully, you have 2 young guys at QB who appear to be able to fill that role under cheap contracts, but the longer you wait, those contracts expire. I love AK, but to give a 29 yr old rb a big contract on this team is not smart.

To what end? You trade for him now and you have a legit #1, but you've now added a $35M salary to your 2025 cap that you are already $81M over the projected cap. Would adding him make this team SB contenders for the next 2 years? Then what do you do when he's a 35-year-old FA in 2027 and damn near your entire 2027 cap is tied up in dead money?
