i think 14PYC is a far cry from 8-9-10ypc possession WR

Don't let LE sucker you into admitting defeat. If you take away cooks's big plays over 30 yard catches, i'm sure his avg is right where you were pegging it to be.

I under estimated the play of defenses more than I underestimated Cooks. These are the kinda games we expected coming into the season..We saw more than a few but a handful of long balls raised his average to a respectable #.

Crazy how averages work. When you take out his big plays and big games, his numbers go down
I think you're on to something

I got that, but am at a loss for what point he was trying to make.

Here's a chew toy:
Breakout season for DeAndre Hopkins. 1,432 yards, will likely have a 1,500 yard season. Incredible.
Guy only has 191 YAC yards, never will be a true #1.

those were garbage time yards bro. He isn't like OBJ or Julio bro. Atlanta and NYG >>>> Houston Bro.

The point is obvious. Don't play stupid.

He's a great #2 and Snead is a great #3.
I can agree with this. That being said, I don't think we need a pro-bowl WR1, just a taller receiver that can get Drew's trust by being reliable. We need another young Colston type, big though not super athletically gifted, but plays hard, has good hands, and puts in the extra work. I'd be happy with that to compliment Cooks and Snead.

I wish Coleman were better than he is because his size is the kind of WR we need. Just not talented enough.

Ahhh the myth of the number one reciever. If thats the guy Drew forces the ball too than I don't want a "number one receiver." This team won a superbowl with Colston, Meachem, and Henderson. Don't dare tell me Colston was the number one because 60% of his routes were seam routes up the middle when he is lined up in the slot, and Brees spreads the ball around like a mofo.
