Contrasting Organizations: Saints vs Pels

Saints future looks so bleak with overpaid players, injured and overpaid players, dead cap money hits for years to come with players no longer on the roster, No leader at the helm, terrible head coach, and future draft picks leveraged for our current shitty situation. Not to mention the guys we gave away for nothing
Future Saints outlook : Bleak
Pelicans got a GM with a vision, he accumulated talent, made team friendly trades, hired a great head coach(it did take 2 tries, but he got it right), brought in a team leader, and has stockpiled draft picks in the process.

Uh, the Saints are at the end of a 15 year franchise high of consistent winning. The Pelicans may be starting a winning culture, but it ain't set in stone.

Different places in the franchise, but...
Saints were at the top and desperately tried to stay on the treadmill. A lot of times when that happens it just intensifies the decline, which is what happens.
Pelicans were at rock bottom and have done a good job clawing out, and seem to be heading towards extreme relevancy, but we will see.

as mentioned above, although they are hot cat shite now, the Saints are coming off 15 year run as one of the most successful franchises in the NFL, inlcuding 1 world championship and 3 conference championships appearances - one of which was stolen.
The Pelicans currently have their best record during that 15 year time right now at 7-6.

The Saints strung together a few good seasons a couple of times but they also strung together losing seasons in between. Loomis should have took his medicine this year instead he doubled down. If he would have won the bet everyone would just be like "Loomis is Loomising", well he lost.

I’m both a die hard saints and Pels fan and this post is 100% correct. I can only dream that the Pels have a run that the saints had and I can only dream that the saints can land a QB the way the Pels managed to land several really good players in such a short amount of time.

Saints have had an incredible run and it’s okay to have a bad season. Every franchise has bad years. Great thing about football is it’s a lot easier to improve quickly in a small market compared to basketball.

Pels had many years to "rebuild" and still can't win 50 games. They're a lousy franchise with terrible ownership. Don't give me this small market crap either.

The Saints are failing because they didn’t draft Brees’s replacement. If the Saints can get a QB, the team will be back to 8-9 wins instantly.
