Was it just me, but does Carr throw lazy passes? I feel like a lot of the contested balls don't need to be

It's actually one of the only good things he has going for him.

Yea Carr has more of a decision making problem than an arm strength problem.

Carr is going to end up being a exponentially more expensive version of what Winston was setting up to be for the Saints.

Carr has the arm “strength” to push the ball downfield. But he lacks a lot of natural arm “talent”. He’s very stiff and bionic. And he bounces on his tippy toes in the pocket. A lot of his intermediate throws end up looking lazy or he will end up floating a wobble ball. That or he will just miss a wide open crosser to Olave. He just lacks natural arm talent. It is what it is. He will always struggle in the redzone when the windows tighten.

Some of the best qb mechanics analysis I have never read. I really like your disparaging of him on his toes. Keep up the really bad work!

Milky, I’m sorry to be the one to tell you but your guy has little to no talent. I wish it wasn’t true but it is

My guy? I like most the rest did not want him. But as a fan I want him to succeed. Not rocket science HI. And no I'm not in the erudite "he sucks dump him now" short bus club.

Carr is not a great QB but he’s always had a strong arm. That is t his problem.

Not just you. Dude was averaging 4.4 yds a completion. Just as bad a Drew at the tail end of his career. We need an upgrade bad.

Carr isn’t a bad quarterback.

I’m not sure why the fan base hates him so much. He’s at worst top half in the league.

There are maybe three QBs who have the talent to play behind the line we fielded last season.

It's because we were used to having prime Brees, who could take an otherwise average team and put them in the playoffs with Super Bowl hopes.

It doesn't need to be that way, you don't HAVE to have a HOF QB to be a playoff team. You can build a strong defense and have a potent running game, something easier to maintain while waiting for the next great QB to hit your roster. Carr is good enough to win if the other spots are ok. Not the Super Bowl, but 11-12 wins.

Well you know this board is full of ex NFL coaches and GMs. I'm just lucky to be here to learn from these great football minds. They're not only experts in scouting but also coaching, salary cap management, and personnel management.

At least this year we’ll get the answer to the question of whether that was by design or because Carr really is captain check down. At least w the Raiders, he would occasionally take shots to his top receivers (from the few drives/games I saw). Looked like that wasn’t really an option in a number of games last year
