If he means take a massive pay cut that doesn't handcuff us, then fine. If it locks us into him past next season then GTFO.

It will more than likely mean we pay him for an extra year he’s no longer on the team

Also means we are running it back with Allen/Carr next season. Hopefully a new OC can help

Extend him a year. Give him a bit more guaranteed money, fire Carmichael, hire a competent OC and let’s work out the kinks the next two years. Some of you guys are fricking babies. A hall of fame QB ain’t walking through the door. Draft a QB this year and give him a year or two to develop.

Carr sucks

Signing Carr was a monumental mistake.

Restructuring Carr means we are stuck with him longer than the 3 years he was supposed to be here and our cap situation gets exponentially worse.

9th in nfl in passer rating with an OC that most here say is horrible.

Lol. He’s not taking a pay cut. They just push money years down the line for csp relief now.

Basically what Loomis is known for.

Carr has given us what we expected, which is not elite but above average qb play. Carr’s career td per season average is 24. He’s on close pace for it. Matt ryan, big Ben, Eli Manning, Dak Prescott, matt Stafford are examples of qb’s whose average tds per year are in the mid 20’s (24/25/26).

Offense improved from the 20’s to just outside the top 10.

Defense regressed numb nuts. We went from top 5 to mid teens.

Print the shirts.

Ticket for a title.

And with Carr making our bad cap situation worse, we lose the opportunity to improve the defense

He literally said it was above avg, not elite.

Yes and what good is that for our current roster/situation in terms of titles?

Depends doesn't Slo. He's here for 2024 right? So if he wants to lessen our hit for 2025 why not?

Is restructuring Carr gonna stop us from drafting a qb?

Nope.
Nor will it affect him being here in 2024.
Cap hit in 2025 perhaps.

3 of the 5 listed QBs won a title. 2 of them won multiple titles.

Carr certainly isn’t elite, but he’s good enough to win if the rest of the pieces are in place.

What is the point of drafting a QB to sit for 3+ years while Carr plays out this contract?
