Wow! Huge difference right? Or maybe not so much, lol wtf. 26 v 24 dude.

And I was accused of cherry picking to suit a narrative you round up for Carr and down for Ryan. 26.7 and 23.8 is 2.9 I’d say that’s a decent amount

quote:

And go ahead and throw Russel Wilson into the group of mid tier QB’s winning Super Bowls.

Wilson has a career passer rating of 100, he’s 4th all time Carr has only 2 seasons over 100. He has 334 TD in 12 seasons vs Carr 238 in 10 (spoiler alert no way does Carr throw 96 TDs the next 2 years) that’s 27.83 vs 23.8 and yes that’s a big difference. Wilson was a legit elite QB in his prime. If you think Carr is close to that you are a hopeless homer or a moron.

If you think Wilson is on Brady/Brees/Manning’s level as an elite qb then youre the moron.

Wilson is closer to Big Ben. A championship winning mid tier QB with elite defense and Coaching. 27 tds per year v 24. Not a big diff dumbass.

Appears reason waived bye bye to you. Again Flacco won a Ship as a mid tier QB.

Saints think Carr can provide mid tier qb play along these lines. Figure it out pussy and shutup.

I think passer rating is very fair among qbs in the same era.

Fair enough

As far as Carr on par with Allen and Mahomes this season

Allen 92.1 and Carr 92 have near identical career ratings, do you think Carr is just as good as Allen?

quote:

, that's the problem with looking at individual seasons, which you seem to love

I said peak years vs career avg not just 1 random year, especially since we were comparing guys that are retired or played several more seasons (except for Dak). Ryan’s best seasons are substantially better than Carrs best years. Using passer rating Ben had 8 years over 95 Stafford and Dak 6, Carr 3. How is that not better? Because the career total is close?

By the way Andy Dalton last year had a slightly better rating than Carr this year, that’s the same OC and offense. He could’ve been signed for a helluva lot less. That’s the biggest problem with Carr, he’s too expensive for what he is, which is mediocre at best.

Will he restructure so we can trade him? Or cut him? He isn’t it.

Not really. Actually Matt Ryan’s best season was 2016. He won the MVP and Carr finished 3rd in the MVP race right behind him.

Ryans a 4 time pro bowler. And Carr? Also a 4 time pro bowler.

Criminal that Ryan has an MVP and Brees doesnt.

Like I said - we’re splitting hairs comparing mid tier qb’s. The point is that several mid tier/not elite qb’s have won Super Bowls, even as lowly as Joe Flacco.

He wasn’t right behind him. He had 6 votes and tied for Elliot for third. Ryan had 25 votes. Brady was second with 20 votes.

Lol, 3rd in the MVP race is right behind 1st. Splitting hairs and playing semantics buddy.

Mid tier QBs can win ships, cry pussy.

Lol 25 votes to 6 is not splitting hairs. Otherwise Brees would be a multiple MVP player. You’re spreading false shite to promote Carr can win a ship.

Just so you live in this era. The past 17 superbowls have been won by Brees, Mahomes, Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Wilson, Big Ben, Eli. The only mid tier QBs if you want to define them would be Stafford, Flacco and Foles.

In you’re delusional mind you think we can win a ship with Carr? When with an elite qb in Brees we only won one lol. Go ahead and cry pussy because that shite ain’t happening. You’re a fricking delusional moron.

That after his less than stellar play the Saints may consider releasing him after 24 and take the hit.

I love how you keep pointing out meaningless anecdotes he’s was 3rd in the MVP so his best season was close Ryan had 1000 more passing yards and 10 more TDs on 25 fewer attempts 69.9 comp pect 7.1 TD% and 9.3 y/a. vs 63.8 5.0 and 7.0 y/a for Carr. That’s not remotely close which is why Ryan ran away with the MVP

Tyler Huntley has a pro bowl

You are the one that started the comparisons seems like you are trying to convince yourself, except for maybe Eli all the QBs you mentioned, while not elite are all better than Carr.

quote:

No one said they haven’t, usually it takes special circumstance like an elite defense or at least some elite defensive players playing at a high level.

quote:

even as lowly as Joe Flacco.

Was still on rookie deal or at least did not get a big deal until after SB run, the Ravens missed the playoffs 4 of the next 5 years after they gave him the big contract. It’s almost like over paying for mediocre QBs hurts your ability to build a team around him.

Wrong. Saints do it regularly, and have made it work for years now.

We are 8-8 in a down year with injuries etc, and we’re sniffing the playoffs.

This is so short sighted. Our division is a shitshow and we played one of if not the easiest schedules in the league. Those touting Carr's stats are forgetting all the garbage time yards/touchdowns when we were already down by 2+ scores to make the end result seem not as bad

If we restructure him to the point it guarantees him being here at least '24 and '25 there is zero point in drafting a qb. The days of drafting a QB and having them sit to then become a competent starter are gone. When was the last time that even happened and worked out? Mahomes 7 years ago?

Jordan Love but he was behind a hall of famer. It’s not necessary to sit, I would only do it for a year at most

Joe flacco, Matt Stafford, Big Ben, Eli Manning, Russel Wilson.

Mid tier, and good defenses won the ship. Not elite passers by any stretch like ARod/Brees etc. Other than La whose ship was handed to them.

Saints been a playoff team with good defense for a while now, figure it out mental midget.

Saints think they can do the same, and its our best play moving forward. Cry all you want Francis.

Edit:
quote:

26.7 and 23.8

LOL, in what world does this small amount of difference the difference between mid tier and elite???

Elite is averaging over 30 plus tds. Averaging it. Like Brees/Rodgers, etc.

Mid tier, is mid 20’s like Matt Ryan and co. Carr easily fits into this category.

This team had shite luck we should and could easily be 10-6 right now. Cam Jordan and Ramzyck declines were steep and Carr was battered for 3 games. And we’re still sitting at 8-8.

Remember when Payton was praised for going 9-8 before he retired? Try to have some perspective and logic buddy, and stop melting.

If im mickey Loomis I'm not touching that contract. We can get out of it after next year. He's essentially on a prove it or your gone deal this year.

9th in nfl in passer rating with an OC that most here say is horrible

It has been documented that Carr's good stats have largely come from garbage time when the team is down 2+ scores. When the game is still close, he is just plain bad.

No your take is incredibly shortsighted, wins in the NFL are not easy to come by, Arizona just beat the Eagles last week, the Bills are 10-6 etc

Saints have had a hard luck season to boot. Bad oline play, mt13 swill etc

No it isnt. Making stuff up here.

We’re 3-1 in last 4 games and Carr’s thrown 10 tds.
