Carr is currently the #4 qb in rating in the league.

Lamar, Burrow, and Goff are the only QBs with a better rating.

Pretty good company.

Carr is not the problem

Cam Jordan, Honey Badger, and all the overpaid underperforming bums on defense are the problem

I mean hes not the part of the solution. Jordan and Matheui have played well the past 2 weeks.

Dennis Allen was the head coach for the majority of the time though.

This team lacks consistency. Consistently bad or consistently good? I have no clue.

Carr has never been the problem, DA , Pete Carmichael and zero Oline depth were the issue. Throw in a couple diva WR who think they are better than they are also. DA and Carmichael gone now so two of 4 issues fixed

We should have sent Carmichael and DA out on the same plane. Allowing Allen to use Carmichael as his scapegoat came back to bite us this year.

Need to really nail the picks this year and start reloading with some young and cheap talent.

It’s intellectually lazy to just blame the QB for everything.

Carr is not the problem with this team. He is an average NFL QB. He throws a nice deep ball and can run an offense effectively. He will have one or two WTF throws or miss a wide open WR once a game. He will also usually have a great throw over the head of a DB or between two defenders a game.

He’s fine to move forward with while we reload. We need a DT, DE, OG, and #1WR in the worst way.

Pretty much Carr’s career in a nutshell

QBR over 125 in four of his games (wins!)
92 and under for the other four (losses)
50% of his starts, here’s your 4-4 record

quote:

In 142 games with the Raiders, Derek Carr had only 10 games with pass rate of 125.0 or higher. (8-2)

In 25 games with the Saints, Derek Carr had 7 games with pass rate of 125.0 or higher. (7-0)

No one buys the highs more than a Carr stan. Only way to come back down to earth is to realize he’s made 167 starts in the NFL and he’s loss 91 of them

Also a guy who through at all has produced one playoff experience that hes lost. But its always everything around him thats the problem. Going back to the Raiders he had a top WR, TE, RB and decent defense- still got benched. I’m not saying Carr is the whole problem but part of it is trying to win with a QB who is very mediocre and needs everything perfect around him to MAYBE sniff the playoffs.

Its easier to fix the QB then to sit there and get every position group perfect with great depth and no injuries for Carr to make his run.

So roughly about a third of his games with us he’s in the area of a perfect qb rating? And that’s been with a shitty OC and subpar receivers that are hurt often.

Im curious what Brees percentages of over 125 rating with us was.

He's had two chances to win the game or tie with plenty of time left in the 4th quarter.

He threw an awful pick against the fricking eagles.

Then decided a go route to Cedrick Wilson was the best decision against the Panthers.

Miss me with that 4th in the league bullshite. He's mid

He led a game winning drive vs the Eagles & Falcons. The defense blew both of those.

He didn’t lead a TD drive til 2 min left in the game vs the eagles, a game where the eagles only scored 15 points and he threw a pick going down to try and win it

And the dumb pick 6 vs ATL was the difference in the game.

He put us in position to blow those games

ETA the defense sucked too. Both can be true

Elite QBs do that, too. I was watching the KC vs. BUF game and Romo made a "He'd like to have that one back" type comment at least a couple times regarding the QB play.

He’s an average qb playing against one of the best defenses in the NFL who had a dtackle in the backfield every play. I’m not expecting him to set the world on fire, but he did put us in a position to win.

We lack players who are explosive with the ball in their hands and that’s something you need when your qb isn’t great.

Let me preface this by saying I don’t blame Carr

But if your $150 mil QB isn’t the solution, he is the problem. We have no money for depth on the OL and at WR, league worst TE room. Having shite drafts recently hasn’t helped. What do we expect to happen?

We are paying for a Ferrari but equipping it with parts from Pep Boys
