Sean Payton and Michael Thomas for Carr and Davante Adams

Derek Carr is not a good NFL QB. Idk why some of yall are acting like this is big news or something the Saints should jump on.
Dude should've lost his job awhile ago. The Raiders ineptitude is all that kept him around as a starter.

Dalton is better
Dalton is a good QB. Carr is also a good QB. Carr has a better TD/INT ratio and YPG over his career. Dalton's record is better. Both would work if we could keep our WRs heathy.

Career numbers don’t really mean anything at this point. Who’s better now?
Dalton, the numbers speak for themselves. He has a few less TD’s, but our receivers dropped multiple in the end zone. And Dalton will presumably be much cheaper.

Rumor is they are going hard after Jimmy G in the off-season.

The only other things that I see in the Dalton vs Carr debate is age and arm strength. I know they're only 4 years apart, but as a QB that's a good bit of time.
Also, I feel like Carr has a strong arm. Granted that doesn't mean anything if you can't hit your target.

I would not wait till the off season
If you like someone go get them as the price only gets higher.
Also we need more Carr threads. Lots more.

Neither of them will be the QB when we contend again so who cares?

As badly as some teams need a QB it wouldn't surprise me in the least that a Dalton could play elsewhere for more money than we can dole out.

And we should be fine with that
Not to mention that he’s just gonna get another year older…

depending on how much dalton costs next year, i'd just assume have him back. isn't carr's deal like 30+mil a year or something like that? he's a little better than dalton, but not worth his salary cap hit.
