He would be a great addition to our team.

He's 6'3, 225lb, and in his 4th year at the age of 25.

Productive receiver with a carousel of QBs the last two years.
he still put up:
112 receptions (211 targets), 1882 yards (58.8YPG), 16.8 AVG, 82 1st downs, 3Fum (1 lost), and 11 TDs

Hell yeah I'd give up a 3rd or 4th for him. Especially if you can get a contract down too

I'm with you Lester... Very intrigued with this.

And like I said, Strong is the top WR available and I really like him. But he reminds me of Floyd. And Floyd is already a proven player in the league.

Very interesting.

Jax wouldn't do this IMO. They have Allen Robinson, Lee, Hurns, Julius Thomas, and could get Justin Blackmon back.

I mean I am definitely on board if the price is right, I'm just worried that its a one year rental.

you could cut him after this year if he doesnt perform.

Then who pays the $7.3 million he is owed next season? The deal is fully guaranteed.

Isn't Brees the only Saint with a base over $7 million.

Not fully guaranteed until first day of the league year that represents that player's 5th year. Until then, it is only guaranteed if the player gets injured in the 4th year and isn't able to play the 5th year.

Saints could cut him at the end of the season for nothing as long as he's not injured next season.

Yeah that is false about the bad qb play the last two years. Palmer played all of 2013 and 6 games (about 1/3rd) of 2014. So he had some bad QB but a lot more good qb play.

He's played 24 games in which Palmer has started.

and 26 games in which Drew Stanton(8), John Skelton(6), Ryan Lindley(6), Kevin Kolb(5), Brian Hoyer (1) have started.

Palmer is a middle of the road NFL QB to begin with. So you're wrong, as usual. He's had terrible QB play all together.

Carson is not middle of the road. Look at any all time list you wish and you will find him closer to the top than the middle.

Take me back in your time capsule, sir. Dude hasn't made a pro bowl in 8 years. He's nothing more than solid.

Is he better than

Brees? no
Payton? no
Brady? no
Rodgers? no
Big Ben? No
Luck? no
Russell Wilson? no
Matt Ryan? No.
Matt Stafford? No
Phillip Rivers? No
Romo? no
Eli? No
Cam? No
Tannehill? no
Flacco? no

would anyone take Palmer over Kaepernick, Andy Dalton or Jay Cutler? Probably not.

he's a serviceable NFL starter and thats it.

Carson Palmer hasn't been the same QB since he hurt his elbow a few years back. He has had a noodle arm since then, which is a hindrance for a deep threat like Floyd

He's accumulated some stats over a long career. Props for that. You don't start taking about him as a top QB until you get in to the 15 range, so he probably is a mid level NFL QB

Now yes. He's not as good as he once was.
