Then by your point every team with a bottom five defense should have a top five offense. Go see how many of those teams in those years have top ten offenses with bottom five defenses. My point is saints will score with kamara or without.

I’m not against it, BUT would rather trade AK for Jamal Adams and then draft a solid RB!

Can we delete the thread? Groundscrew85 has a shift coming up at Rally's soon and I don't want him to be distracted.

Kamara's value should probably be compared more to the WR's than the rb's. He's more valuable outside the tackles and is not tough enough to be a hammer inside. Pay is typically better and careers longer too.

If he wants to get paid 16mil/yr, then most likely he is gone. The point here is that we have no idea what his asking price is, so for us to keep acting like he's being a bitch in negotiations is assinine. None of us know anything about these negotiations, yet somehow we have dipshits like the OP speaking as if they do in facts without presenting any facts.

I have a hunch that AK will be demanding to be the highest paid RB in the NFL. He might take SECOND highest-paid. I have a hunch that he'll be asking for a lot more than what he'll actually be worth going forward. AND I have a hunch that SP will over-pay for him.

We'll see.

Well thankfully you aren’t in charge of anything but playing with yourself because that’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a good minute. You’d trade a guy with a skill set that maybe 3 other RB possess and who has a good attitude and team guy for LF who has been a problem child all the way back to his LSU days and is just another power back that you can find pretty easily? Not a chance. Don’t insult AK by saying LF can catch the ball equally as well because that’s a lie. People are so quick to shite on Kamara because he had a good not great year last season but they don’t want remember he played on one leg for 75% of the year.

Are you insane? I am all for trading Kamara because he is about due a big payday and the Saints shouldn't investing that much in a running back. But you trade him and then draft someone like CEH because he fits what the saints do and you get him for 4-5 years on a rookie contract. You don't bring in Fournette because his skill set doesn't fit the saints.

Trade Murray and a 5th rounder for Fournette and I’m in.

Most people will crap in this idea because of the LSU connection and their obsession with Kamara along with Fournette’s struggles in Jacksonville, but it’s not absurd.

Fournette has the talent and ability to be a true three down threat and can handle the beating that comes with being a primary ball carrier. He’s more dynamic than Henry and basically as physical. The main difference is that Henry has a legit line and while he was streaky before this season, getting a legit QB along with his legit OL made him MVP level.

Kamara proved this year that he cannot handle the beating of a being a primary back. That’s just not what he’s built for and that is okay. McCaffrey can which is why he got paid.

People are acting like the Saints haven’t had similar backs to Kamara in other years. Bush and Sproles played similar roles just as effectively. The fact is he can be replaced even if not fully. Ingram proved that a powerback can do well as did McCallister.

It’s not as far fetched as some think, but means Fournette needs to get in the right shape to be dominant.

Who says MI is a classic NFL powerback?

He is a powerback by nature but a multi skilled one. Deuce was the same. Good enough catching that he could play 3 downs if needed. Fournette is like that too.

I am not advocating for the trade. Just stating it isn’t completely idiotic like some on here seem to think.

How do you figure? What OP posted is a legitimate question. I’m sure there are plenty of people who would be okay with us trading Kamara for Fournette straight up.

ETA: Kamara is going to want McCaffrey money and he just isn’t worth it. He should not be paid more than McCaffrey or Zeke imo.

MI is not carrying six guys to the goal line.

MI is 5'9" and 215.

I saw a DB stand up MI at the goal line on 3rd down one on one.

That is not a power back and to put MI and Deuce in the same category is criminal

CMC will breakdown pretty soon i think.

he was a workhorse back in college and has been for the Panthers so far.

it was an uneducated move on their part to pay up for him.
